00:00 What was your bold prediction for the season coming?
00:02 That I thought Miami is a top 12 team.
00:04 And if you don't really believe that you may not know football very well, because
00:10 you didn't look at their, look at their roster and look at some of the things
00:14 that this program has done over the last four or five months to enhance the package.
00:19 That was improving and had a lot of young kids.
00:22 Uh, yeah, obviously with Mark Fletcher, you know, being on the sideline, it, you
00:26 know, kind of takes away from things, but the very fact that they added a running
00:30 back who has been there, done that, uh, you know, along with some of the other
00:34 kids that are coming in, remember the, nobody's even taken the wrapping off
00:39 of some of the Chris Johnson yet.
00:41 And some of the guys that Miami was looking, uh, you know, Wheatley Humphrey,
00:45 another kid that was highly recruited by Miami and Lyles.
00:50 Um, I think Lyles from St.
00:51 Thomas was that dude, you know, good enough.
00:54 Where Ohio state stuck on him and wanted him pretty badly, uh, to be a part of
00:59 their, uh, you know, their, uh, future.
01:01 And I think he'll come in.
01:03 So right there, I think that Miami's added depth at the right positions,
01:07 offensive line, uh, certainly I think Miami has an opportunity to
01:11 score 40, 45 points every game.
01:13 They really do.
01:14 You have Cam Ward, who is a freak of nature who can kind of controls things.
01:19 You've got a receiving core.
01:20 That's gotten better.
01:22 The kid Brown knows the offense.
01:24 He comes aboard, you know, along with the, uh, all ACC receiver and
01:28 Xavier, Xavier Restrepo, and then a bunch of hungry guys who have to
01:33 prove themselves this year, they'll be finding time on the bench.
01:35 So I think from a offensive standpoint, Miami's right there with anybody in the
01:42 country offensively, because they've got all those skill kids plus an offensive
01:46 line that got deeper and stronger than on the defensive side of the, of the ball.
01:51 Definitely what's, what takes place now is they've got potentially one of the top
01:56 front fours or front fives, whatever scheme that they're going to run in the country.
02:01 Uh, they've got a lot of talent, a lot of firepower.
02:04 Their linebacking core has improved greatly.
02:07 Um, I, when Noah comes back, Wesley St is in there.
02:10 Popo, uh, guy, uh, Guire is, is, uh, as a kid to keep watching, as you said, Malik
02:15 Bryant is due for, uh, you know, uh, at least a breakout type of season.
02:20 The secondary obviously is a question mark, but that being said, they've got talent.
02:25 Uh, you know, they, they brought in some really, really good kids along with like
02:29 a Darryl Porter jr.
02:30 It comes back and what's going to happen for them to have that chemistry and that
02:35 cohesiveness, they're going to be afforded because of the front seven that Miami has
02:40 to maybe, uh, take a longer adjustment period.
02:43 And, you know, those, I don't think you're going to see a lot of wide open shots.
02:47 I think that unless they have a mobile quarterback, Miami is going to get at that
02:51 quarterback and it's going to limit the time that the defensive backs are going to
02:55 have to roam around and, you know, kind of, you know, waste energy, but, uh, they've
03:01 got one of the best kicking games in the country.
03:03 No doubt.
03:04 Uh, punting wise are solid.
03:06 Is it an 11 win team?
