00:00In Kraton Kasepuhan complex, there is a mosque that preserves the history of Islamic civilization in Cirebon and West Java.
00:12Agung Ciptarasa Mosque.
00:14Sunan Gunung Jati, one of the Songon Wali who spread the Islamic religion.
00:18This is one of the oldest mosques in Java.
00:23It is said that Raden Sepat and Sunan Kalijaga are direct architects for the construction of this mosque.
00:30More than 500 workers were hired to build the mosque, which is said to be built in just one night.
00:38Magic!
00:40Seen from the courtyard in the mosque and shrine area, the architectural style combines the Javanese and Majapahit Hindu style.
00:47The shape of the mosque building is similar to a Javanese-style Joglo house.
00:50This is because Cirebon Tempo was also left by the people from Demak, Majapahit and the capital of Cirebon itself.
00:56This mosque is the Wali Songon Memorial Mosque.
01:01It was built in 1480 and Alhamdulillah, one of the Wali Songon Memorial Mosques that is still very well preserved is only this mosque.
01:09Almost 90% of the buildings are still original.
01:13And this building is almost entirely in the cultural heritage.
01:21Alhamdulillah
01:33To enter the original mosque building, there are 9 doors.
01:36Uniquely, the door is made shorter than the usual door.
01:39This symbolizes a form of respect or self-restraint or tawadu to enter the mosque.
01:45The small shape also teaches patience and the culture of queueing.
01:49The 9 doors themselves are the symbol of the 9 Wali.
01:53Next to it, the 9 doors are also a symbol of piety.
01:57The people here were originally Hindu and Buddhist.
02:00So when this mosque was built, they were allowed to enter.
02:05Because this is apparently part of the Wali's preaching strategy.
02:12When we go inside, we can see a mihrab or a place where the imam leads a prayer that is quite unique.
02:18There is also a mihrab that is similar to a chair with a flat carving, especially for young people.
02:23In Hindu Buddhism, it is a symbol of holiness.
02:26The mihrab here is shaped like a chair, like a large chair.
02:30And there is no barrier between jama'ah and khatib.
02:34And that is indeed the mihrab that was required by the Messenger of Allah.
02:38So the virtue of the sunnah is obtained here.
02:40For Islamic teachings, prayer is a pillar of religion.
02:43Therefore, a pillar of 12 columns was built with a height of 17 meters.
02:47According to the number of rakat prayer in a day, which is 17 rakat.
02:51In addition, the number of pillars of the building is 30, the same as the number of juz in the Qur'an.
02:57So the message is that, don't just pray five times a day, don't forget to read the Qur'an 30 juz a day if possible.
03:04In addition, remember La ilaha illallah.
03:06Because the Messenger of Allah said,
03:08abdullu dhikri fa'alam annahu la ilaha illallah.
03:11As good as you remember it, La ilaha illallah.
03:14More than just a building, in every corner of the Sang Ciptarasa Mosque,
03:17there are messages and meanings of Islam taught by the saints who still stand firm today.
03:23Not interrupted by time.
03:26And that is the special feature or magical power of the Sang Ciptarasa Mosque.
