00:15 to organize Jalan Jalan Indonesia, a week-long celebration of Indonesian art, culture and cuisine.

00:26 The event kicked off with film screenings at the State Library of Western Australia Theatre
00:31 from April 20th to the 21st. The event saw more than 17 film screens including
00:37 The Battle of Surabaya, cultural short films from Indonesia TV and Pulau Plastik.

00:47 Jalan Jalan Indonesia also featured writing workshops by Indonesian author Reda Gaudiamo
00:53 at schools as well as the Perth Children's Hospital.
00:57 Students enjoyed Reda's workshop and her musical performances with a ukulele.
01:02 Following the workshops, a book talk with Reda was held at the Literature Centre in Fremantle

01:46 The event included a performance of traditional Japanese gamelan music by the Consular General Group
01:51 and the venue was adorned with Indonesian clothing and accessories,

01:58 The highlight of the week was the Culinary Convergence, a culinary event featuring celebrity chef
02:04 Wahyan Kresnayasa, owner of restaurant home in Bali and Paul Iskov, a well-known chef from Western Australia.
02:13 The chefs prepared fusion dishes combining Indonesian and Western Australian flavours,
02:18 using natural ingredients and spices from the region.
02:22 Held on April 28th at the Double Rainbow restaurant in Perth, the event attracted over 100 attendees.
02:31 They expressed admiration for the rich taste and the unique fusion of fried rice chips and panacotta bika ambon.
