00:00 Hey Harper's Bazaar, I'm Maggie Rogers. Are you ready to go to bed with me?
00:03 So first thing I do is I take all of my jewelry off every night. I don't like sleeping in earrings,
00:17 I know I don't like sleeping necklaces, I know some people do, but I take all mine off.
00:21 After my jewelry's off, the next thing I do is I deal with my hair. I've had short hair,
00:30 I've had long hair, now I've got this sort of medium mane and it has to stay out of my face.
00:36 As my hair's been growing, I found these clips in my room that I've had since 2019. I wore them
00:44 to a Miu Miu show and I'm so glad I have them because now they make my bedtime routine a little
00:50 bit more sparkly. Okay. I use this chlorine eye makeup remover. I studied abroad in France when I
01:04 was 20 and started buying this in the drugstore and I've been using it for the last 10 years.
01:11 You'll also notice that everything I own is travel size because a lot of my life I just
01:16 live in a suitcase. A lot of what I use is French skincare. I couldn't exactly tell you why except
01:23 for that it's better. It's not super expensive and the ingredient quality is super high.
01:28 After I take all my makeup off, I wash my face. Again, travel size. This is Biologique, which,
01:36 again, French skincare. This is super gentle and really hydrating and doesn't strip your skin of
01:45 all of the good stuff. Also, you put it on your face when it's still dry, which I love.
01:53 Okay. I'm going to wash this off.
01:57 After my face is washed, the first thing I do at night is apply retinol. I am about to turn 30
02:11 and in the last couple months I started using retinol for the first time. I use this super
02:16 gentle French one called A313 and it's been really nice. I definitely noticed a change in my skin.
02:25 I always use sunscreen religiously with it, but I kind of did that before anyway because I
02:30 am a big old freckle face. I'm really excited about aging. I'm so happy to wear all of the
02:41 wisdom that I've accrued. You know what? I went to my really good friend Sally's wedding a couple
02:47 of years ago and there's a line from it that made it into my song, "Don't Forget Me." My friend Sally
02:52 is getting married. In her vows, she said something to her partner about, "I can't wait to see the
02:59 smile lines across your face." I think that all of that laughter is so worth wearing. It is nice
03:06 to have a texture on my skin at least that feels just a little bit more smooth. I only use a little
03:12 bit, just about a pea size, and I put a really thin gentle layer on my face.
03:18 After retinol, I use a hyaluronic acid cream. This is Elucet, L'Acide Hyaluronique, which is
03:31 also from a French pharmacy. I find that this one, because it's a cream, it just works a little bit
03:35 better with my skin. The only thing about it that's super silly is that it makes your entire face white
03:42 as if you were wearing like zinc sunscreen. So, and then it dissolves, which you'll see, but
03:49 whenever I'm putting it on I always feel like a little ghost.
03:52 It's like completely ridiculous. Definitely an embarrassing skincare moment to do in front of
04:01 anybody else. This is some real solo girl at home self-care. Okay, not so crazy, but
04:09 definitely a little spooky.
04:13 After hyaluronic acid, I use a really like heavy, as moisturized moisturizer as I can get.
04:26 I have really loved using the Augustina Spader Rich Cream. I feel so stupid to be like, "I noticed
04:34 the difference," but I really can tell when I wake up and I've used it. I like use as much as I can
04:39 get. This is two or three pumps of the travel size, so I don't even know how much that is, but
04:45 I'll go back for more, you know? No shame in needing that moisturizer. I try to drink a lot
04:52 of water and that definitely helps. I've been advised to take some fish oil, like hydrate from
04:57 the inside out. Sometimes I do that and sometimes I don't. After I moisturize, I put a little eye
05:03 serum on. This is Vudepoche, again, French. I got this from my friend Molly Howard. She had it in
05:10 her guest cabinet in her house and I stole it, but then I ordered her another one.
05:19 I like how small this is. Keeps it really handy. Bits in with all my travel sized guys.
05:24 The last step in my skincare routine is I cannot go to bed without something on my lips. I really
05:30 love this Biba D'Souza Lip Treatment. It's not just a chapstick, ladies and gentlemen, it's a
05:38 treatment. This has kept my lips intact even in the craziest winters in Boston, and that's all you
05:49 need to know about it. That's it. That's my nighttime routine. Thank you so much for watching
05:52 me on Harper's Bazaar, and you can go check out my new record, Don't Forget Me, right now. Good night.
06:00 Bye.
