00:00 Thousands gathered in Tel Aviv on Saturday, demanding the release of the hostages and
00:09 the resignation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government.
00:15 The demonstrators protested the way the Israeli administration handled the war against Hamas
00:21 and that 133 hostages remain in captivity after more than 200 days since the war erupted.
00:30 The protests came as Egypt intensified efforts to broker a deal to end the three-month-long
00:37 war and stave off a planned Israeli ground offensive into the southern city of Rafah.
00:47 The whole October 7 issue or event or disaster or holocaust, depends how you define that,
01:00 happened because of this government.
01:03 This government made it.
01:06 This government led us into this disaster.
01:12 This is why we're here.
01:15 But for me, personally, first priority is to release the hostages.
01:22 This is an event that the country cannot tolerate, the people cannot tolerate.
01:28 This is job number one of the government of Israel.
01:32 Job number one and they failed dramatically.
01:36 They should go, all the government, all the 64 members.
01:42 Hamas said on Saturday that it was reviewing a new Israeli proposal for a ceasefire in
01:48 Gaza.
01:49 Senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya gave no details on Israel's offer but said it was
01:56 in response to a proposal from Hamas two weeks ago.
02:00 We would like that Bibi would think as Biden thinks about all the kidnappers, about the
02:06 election, about everything, because Biden cares about Israel more than Bibi.
02:13 And that's the point we are coming here to demonstrate against Bibi and against the situation
02:21 that the kidnappers are not coming back for so long.
02:27 That's why we are here.
02:31 The international community is pressuring Hamas and Israel to reach an agreement on
02:36 a ceasefire and avert a possible Israeli attack on Rav Ha, where more than half of Gaza's
02:42 2.3 million people have sought refuge after fleeing fighting elsewhere in the territory.
