00:00 So let's move on to the offensive side of the ball with the passing game
00:03 Interesting with the passing game mark. I kind of want to start with you on this
00:08 I want to know what you have to say about this one. Yeah, I
00:11 There I hate to say it but they're underperforming this year
00:18 Patrick Mahomes still an excellent quarterback number one in touchdown to interception ratio
00:24 So that's an excellent stat for him fifth and QB are
00:30 16th in completion percentage was kind of surprising to me. Yeah, not sure what's going on there
00:36 seventh and passing yards 12th in yards per attempt, which is also surprising for my homes and
00:42 Because of that I have to give him a C+
00:45 interesting so I went with B+ because
00:49 We haven't seen the creativity we have in 2018 2019 haven't seen that creativity
00:56 obviously, you know coronavirus could play into that with the lack of
00:59 Offseason
01:02 workouts and stuff like that
01:03 but I think it's just because they don't have to have be so creative and they've still shown the ability to get past plays done
01:10 when they need to there was a third and 12 in the Bills game that
01:13 Pat Mahomes converted to Byron Pringle
01:16 They can still pass the ball when they need it done and the defenses have really
01:20 Adjusted to that the defenses have put seven guys back there making sure that Pat Mahomes and the passing game don't be in them deep
01:27 But I still think that they're able to get it done when they need to we've seen some key drops
01:31 I think that's kind of one of the things that's bringing down the passing game is the drops we've seen from I mean
01:37 Tyree kills had drops to Marcus Robinson
01:39 Sammy walk-ins, you know, Nick Kaiser especially has had several drops. So, um, that's why I don't have it
01:46 You know at an a but I have it a B plus I might flip that down more to a B
01:50 After kind of going through it in my head, but I did write down a B plus I'll go with a B front of the passing
01:57 game
01:58 Yeah, that's I mean, that's a good good grade for him
02:00 Like like we keep continuing to say
02:03 This is good news for the Chiefs that they're not hitting a's yet because they can keep getting better as the season goes along
02:10 and like you said
02:12 Some key drops happening there against the Raiders. There was one that probably should have been a touchdown
02:17 Or set them up for a first at least that where there was a pass interference
02:21 So there was a few things that have gone against the passing game
02:25 But yeah
02:26 I think there's room for improvement and when they start clicking on all cylinders like they did in the playoffs last year
02:31 That's what I'm gonna see the stretch run when they can make that Super Bowl run
02:35 So the last offensive category we have is the rushing attack
02:38 This kind of plays into the offensive line - and I was starting to write this down
02:41 I was like, well, do we really want to go with the rushing game?
02:43 But we can talk about the running backs instead of the rushing attack because I think the offensive line does play into it
02:48 I gave him a C plus
02:50 Like I said, the offensive line
02:52 Didn't do a great job run blocking in the first
02:55 What was it?
02:57 They did well in week one and then kind of struggled and found their way in Buffalo as and that was week six
03:02 So they kind of had a little right there
03:04 But I think that this they've kind of had a roller coaster, right?
03:08 They've week one was good and you know Clyde Everett Slayer seemed to be not very effective and then he's starting to kind of gain
03:14 Back up his effectiveness and they've added Levy on Bell to which I think naturally will up their grade a little bit
03:19 We saw him his first touch was like 16 yards for the Chiefs and he hadn't had a 16 yard carry in like a year
03:25 For the Jets, so that's promising to see so I think a C plus is a good grade for this rushing attack
03:33 I'm going a little bit higher than you for this one
03:35 I'm gonna say B plus for the rushing attack because I was looking at some of the stats
03:40 There's six in total rushing yards in the NFL which that's kind of surprising to me
03:47 I didn't know that was the case before doing a little bit of research on that ninth in yards per carry
03:53 Which that got me excited because the last couple of years they have not been great at yards per carry
04:00 With Damian Williams. I mean he's shown up in big games, but he just hasn't been a great yards per carry guy, right?
04:07 It's after contact
04:09 Clyde Edwards O'Leary has shown that he is
04:12 Superb at that an excellent running back in that fashion
04:16 And I know 11 Levy on Bell has been really good at that his career as well
04:20 I know he's only had one game to show it, but I was looking at the running backs
04:25 I think I sent you a link to it, but in
04:27 he's
04:29 C E H is number one in yards touchdowns yards after contact
04:34 10 plus rush yards and missed tackles in the NFL out of all the rookie running backs. So yeah
04:41 Yeah, I think I think that's fair we're right there
04:45 It's one of those things where they are on the uptick and I do think that in a matter of weeks that they could be
04:51 In the bees for me personally just with the way that the offensive line is now playing and how?
04:57 They can use both left Bell and C E H
05:01 You
