Arrowhead Report's Tucker Franklin and Jordan Foote discuss the effect having no crowds has on the players' performance on Friday's Roughing the Kicker podcast.
Transcript
00:00he asked has the lack of actual crowd noise and presence really made that much of a difference in their performance and
00:07Michael that's a good question
00:09I think it has Tyree kill after the game talked about in the Chargers brand-new stadium is nice
00:17Beautiful stadium. There's no fans in it. And he says he's a wide receiver
00:21He's got a feed off the crowd and he's kind of having a hard time
00:25Adjusting to no atmosphere kind of feeling like a practice
00:28I believe Chris Jones during his press conference on Thursday said something about he's also a guy that feeds off the crowd and it's kind
00:35Of difficult to kind of get in, you know, the feeling and the intensity of a game with no fans
00:40Well with all due respect, it's not like there would have been a huge turnout at that game in the first place
00:47We need a we need a shots fired or like a BMP MPM sound effect for the podcast or something. That'd be pretty funny
00:55Okay, anyway back to the subject at hand it definitely does play a role I don't think guys are like
01:02Going to be going from elite to bad just because there are no fans and they can't feed off the crowd
01:08But you mentioned Tyree kill and Chris Jones. Those are two guys who really live to please their crowds
01:13I thought it would affect Travis Kelsey more than anybody because he's just once he gets locked in he's into it
01:20I mean, he's jumping around dancing making fun of people making first-down celebration
01:25So he's just a really fun player to watch and fans being there
01:28Really helps that even my homes gets really happy when there are fans there gets excited gets into it
01:34So it's something they hopefully will only have to experience for this year and then never again
01:40But it's also a learning experience and we see it in other sports the NBA guys
01:45They've had random kids just pop it off and going off in the bubble
01:50I don't know if no fans has a role in that. So maybe it goes both ways. I don't know
