00:00 I mean, the Chiefs have three top 30 cornerbacks and Travarius Ward's at 35.
00:07 So considering the struggles he's had in some games this year, that's pretty remarkable.
00:12 That's pretty good for you, Ward.
00:14 And I actually wrote about this in my article this week.
00:17 Time to plug that.
00:18 Where the Chiefs needs people assumed a few positions would be in need going into this
00:25 year for maybe next year's draft.
00:28 But as the season's gone on, it's actually evolved and it's different now.
00:33 And I don't think the prevailing thought has changed still.
00:36 Cornerbacks not going to be a need next year, I feel at least a major need.
00:41 Ward's a restricted free agent, so he's probably not going anywhere.
00:43 The Chiefs will tender him.
00:44 They have Fenton Snead coming back and sure if Bashad leaves, that's still kind of a,
00:52 they're losing talent.
00:53 But the three ones I just mentioned are still quality cornerbacks and I would be fine with
00:59 those being the top three cornerbacks in the Chiefs roster.
01:01 And that's without taking Baker into account.
01:03 That's what I was thinking.
01:05 If they think he'll contribute, then that's icing on the cake.
01:08 And then if Bo Peat Keyes comes along, well, he could be a good fourth or fifth cornerback.
01:12 So I don't think cornerbacks really a need for the Chiefs unless they feel like they
01:15 want to try and get the elite shutdown one.
01:18 But then I wrote about in the article, there has been other positions that have formed
01:22 as a need for the Chiefs and you can read about it on whenever the podcast comes out
01:28 that day.
01:28 Thanks for listening.
01:29 We'll see you next time.
01:30 Bye.
