00:00 >> Yeah, I would say just like his pro experience and
00:03 what he's done in the past that kind of got me to make that decision.
00:07 And having a chance to like kind of reset my recruitment and
00:11 relook at it, I feel like that was the best decision for me.
00:14 >> When you went through the recruiting process,
00:16 obviously people knew about you as a quarterback.
00:19 I wonder, with your frame, did coaches ever try to come to you and say,
00:22 would you wanna play receiver, would you wanna play this?
00:25 Or were you always perceived to be an ace?
00:28 >> Yeah, no, I was always perceived to be the quarterback.
00:30 I mean, I started my freshman year in high school, so
00:34 I had those opportunities early, so I feel like that was never a question or a doubt.
00:38 >> When DeBruyne was here,
00:39 did you give much consideration to Washington at that point?
00:42 >> Not much, I wouldn't say.
00:43 I would say I liked it here for sure.
00:46 >> Tell us a little bit about your relationship with Coach Fish.
00:51 What is it that makes him unique that your skill fit, you think, makes him unique?
00:55 >> Yeah, that's my guy.
00:55 I mean, I would just say he's always been there.
00:58 He offered me as a freshman, and that kinda stuck with me.
01:01 And he's always been there for me whenever I needed him.
01:03 And just having that experience and
01:04 having that pro knowledge to just help me develop into the best quarterback I can be.
01:08 >> Whether it's fair or not, being his quarterback last year for
01:10 FITA, you're about the same size, both of you.
01:12 Is that kind of a fair comparison or not?
01:16 >> I would say so.
01:17 I mean, he's a great quarterback.
01:19 So I mean, being compared to anybody like that is an honor.
01:22 And I feel like I'm just a little bit more athletically gifted as far as that,
01:26 like just being able to run and be over.
