It's time for our second kebab review as part of the latest LP Eats series in which we try Preston's best kababs in an effort to crown the city's one and only King of Kebabs. This week, we headed down to Bianco on Friargate, and here's what we made of it...

00:00 Hi everyone, Jack Marshall, T2 Reporter, Lancashire Post here and I don't know what it is about
00:05 doing kebab reviews but as soon as I head out to do one into the city the sun comes
00:10 out so I'm going to keep eating kebabs forever, warm the whole place up, give the city a bit
00:16 of a better climate so yeah, today we're going to a place called Bianco, just to try it out.
00:23 Just another one in our series reviewing kebabs in Preston so let's go give it a bash.
00:30 Hi guys, another sunny day, another kebab review.
00:51 So we're just on Frygate now, I've just been up to Bianco to grab some food, secured the
00:57 kebab so yeah, very keen to try it, looks great in there.
01:01 Yeah, just really keen to try another kebab and crack on with our series so let's go give it a go.
01:06 [Sounds of food being cooked]
01:28 Hi everyone, kebab has been extracted so yeah, looks really good.
01:32 Let's have a go.
01:34 [Sounds of kebab being eaten]
01:41 Hmm, a lot spicer than some of the other kebabs we've had so far and the veg is definitely fresher.
01:48 [Sounds of kebab being eaten]
01:52 It's ok, it's a bit different, it's not like your classic kebab, it's saucier, the naan's a bit thinner.
01:58 Yeah, not 100% sold, not blown away but it's definitely fresher.
02:06 This tastes like something which I feel like I could make at home, that kind of kebab,
02:11 more like a chicken fajita style thing rather than like a classic shawarma.
02:16 So yeah, I'm going to keep going but a bit different to what you'd normally expect from
02:22 like a classic takeaway kebab, you know, from a classic shawarma place this feels more like
02:29 leaning more towards fajita than anything else.
02:34 Right guys, so a few more mouthfuls to eat with the kebab.
02:38 Bit underwhelmed if I'm honest, it's just nothing special like I said before,
02:43 it kind of tastes like something I could make myself and I mean,
02:48 I'm no Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen myself so that's not up to anything special.
02:54 It's got a nice extras in the sense that it's got chips with it as well but the chips are a little kind of...
03:03 The chips are ok, nice addition I guess but they're not really saving the kebab itself
03:09 which is supposed to be the main selling point.
03:13 So yeah, slightly underwhelmed but if we're going to go for scores,
03:18 I'm going to rank the naan bread to begin with.
03:21 That's a 1.5 out of 5, it's just a bit thin, a little chewier than you want,
03:27 it's not got anything to it, nothing special to it so a bit underwhelmed on that front.
03:33 I'd say the meats a 2.5, it's nice in the sense that it's spicier but it's not your classic shawarma,
03:40 it's not like done on a rotisserie and carved down, that kind of stuff,
03:45 marinated in it, I mean it might have been marinated on it but it's not quite there.
03:51 The extras are 3, the chips are ok, it's nice that it's got some cooked peppers inside it with it,
03:58 with the meat itself so that's a good addition which you don't normally get but yeah,
04:03 they're ok, 3 out of 5, 3.5 out of 5 I'll say to be more generous.
04:07 The vibe in the place, it was very quiet, it was fine, that's just average, it's just a 3.
04:13 Then affordability, this cost £6.55, it's alright, affordability I reckon is like a 2.5 for that,
04:23 I think you'd want something a bit heftier for a lunch.
04:27 The side is nice but the chips are pretty easy to do and pretty easy to slap on and serve up so yeah,
04:34 nothing to write home about, fine, feels like something I could have made myself is my headline verdict to be honest.
