00:00 Every year, Muslims all over the world welcome Ramadan,
00:04 a time to do good deeds, worship and practice.
00:08 In Ramadan, the highest zakat is given,
00:13 as well as a sign of concern for those who are not fortunate.
00:19 Fasting is also a sign of respect for those who live in poverty.
00:25 But what about those who are not able to live in fasting?
00:32 Every time the husband and wife's couple,
00:36 Nur Izhar Mazlan and Shida Nur Rahmat,
00:39 surprise their children by enjoying the feast.
00:43 A side dish from the previous night,
00:46 Ihsan Perkiwi Soup Kitchen.
00:49 A simple dish, but for Shida,
00:52 it is enough to ensure that they are resistant until the time of breaking the fast.
00:59 Every month of fasting is like that.
01:01 But for suhoor, most of the food will be taken to suhoor.
01:06 Just cook rice and heat the food that is given.
01:10 After they provide food.
01:12 For this month of fasting.
01:14 The food so far, Alhamdulillah, is enough.
01:18 Around 8.30am, Nur Izhar heads to the farm that he is working on
01:24 under the initiative of the Islamic Council of the Regional Council.
01:29 Day by day, Nur Izhar takes care of the crops,
01:32 hoping that after a year of fasting,
01:35 he can get land ownership.
01:38 He sees this field as a means of life for his family to get out of poverty.
01:45 Meanwhile, Shida is also in charge of the Perkiwi Soup Kitchen distribution center
01:50 in Medan Tuan Ku,
01:51 waiting for the opportunity to take a break from his family's breakfast.
01:56 He needs to balance his responsibilities.
01:59 Sometimes he works as a cleaner to help feed his family.
02:05 Their old residence, which is located nearby,
02:09 a guest room in a shared unit in the Chaokit area,
02:13 is no longer able to live in that small quarters.
02:17 They decided to move to the public housing project that is currently under construction.
02:24 Every day, the children play with the net.
02:27 They take things, but they throw them away.
02:30 So the children take it and play, so we feel like we have to move.
02:35 They are happy when I ask them if they can stay in the room.
02:39 They don't want to.
02:40 They really want to.
02:42 Praise be to God, the park is nearby, the mosque is nearby.
02:46 They reflect on how important this holy month is,
02:51 as well as the invaluable experience that taught them.
02:55 But for me, fasting is a must for Muslims.
03:01 There is no sympathy.
03:05 Fasting is a must for us Muslims.
03:08 We can learn to be grateful during fasting.
03:14 We can pray to the Lord's name.
03:17 We can meet at the mosque and pray.
03:22 It is difficult for us.
03:25 We are poor, but it doesn't necessarily affect our daily life.
03:31 We can pray and work.
03:33 For me, it is our responsibility as Muslims to pray,
03:38 to find food for our wives and children.
03:41 Although they hope that the land they work for will be theirs one day,
03:48 Nur Izhar and Shida see again everything that happened with hope and confidence.
03:55 May it be made easier for them and their family's spirit is maintained.
