00:00 The game itself I thought Newcastle, as you say in the first half, were pretty good. Possibly
00:06 could have killed the game off even then. And even in the second half when they didn't
00:09 perhaps play as well, they still had chances to kill that game off before Everton came
00:13 back into it, which I think is perhaps more the annoying thing than the fact that Everton
00:17 then ultimately did get the draw. You could see they were getting tired though as the
00:22 game wore on and the lack of options off the bench really showed it, as it had been in
00:27 other games. I think Man City at home stands out in that regard. Perhaps is it a criticism
00:33 of Eddie Howe to say that he didn't trust some of the kids on the bench? I know of course
00:38 they're only kids, they're inexperienced, but you see other clubs sometimes turning
00:43 to their younger players. Is it a case where Eddie Howe should have just trusted some of
00:48 his younger players who he's put on the bench and just given them a go to freshen things
00:52 up? Obviously they'll have legs, they'll be young, they'll be eager, but they might lack
00:56 in quality and experience at this moment in time. They'd make up for it with enthusiasm
01:02 and running and that could have perhaps even just got them over the line. I mean obviously
01:07 the moment of madness from Paul Dummer is what it is and no matter how long you don't
01:10 play for, you don't put a WWE move in the box with two minutes or whatever it was on
01:16 the clock left. But yeah, could Eddie Howe have perhaps trusted some of the kids? Even
01:20 Joe White who's made an appearance already this season? No, I think you made a very good
01:24 point. I think you name a bench and if them players aren't good enough to come on in games
01:30 then you shouldn't be naming on the bench in my opinion. So you look at the bench from
01:34 yesterday, obviously you brought on Joe Willock who again struggled to make an impact. I thought
01:40 Joe Willock came on at a time when Newcastle needed to regain some control in midfield.
01:45 They didn't quite manage to do that and I actually thought Joe Willock's introduction
01:49 actually impacted Harvey Barnes. Harvey Barnes wasn't quite as effective when Joe Willock
01:56 came on. I think Joe Willock was eager to get forward too on the left-hand side and
02:01 that control in midfield that Newcastle needed didn't quite arrive. You look at the other
02:07 midfield area, you mentioned Joe White there. I think Joe White, Eddie Howe has praised
02:12 Joe White heavily. He came on against, it was the Bored Mouth game when Joe White came
02:16 on and done really, really well. Made a big impact alongside obviously Mark Ritchie. Eddie
02:24 Howe after that game praised Joe White at the Hill. Said he felt like a new sign in
02:28 him anyways. Really impressed in training, I trust him. But then he's barely been used
02:34 since so I think Joe White probably could have made an impact yesterday. Certainly as
02:38 you mentioned before there, provided some fresh legs and desire and plenty of energy
02:46 as a young lad. I certainly would have been introducing him. I suppose in hindsight I
02:53 don't, I won't criticise Eddie Howe for bringing on Paul Dummer because I thought it was the
02:58 obvious change.
