00:00Victory against Swindon would have been a relief for all associated with Bradford City following several weeks without a league win for the Bantams.
00:12Graham Alexander's side have shown lots of promise this season but in recent weeks results had dried up.
00:18Despite this they pressed on and had shown determination to rescue points in their two most recent fixtures.
00:24Against Notts County Alexander knew how tough of a test his side will face but called on his players to build on their positive performances of late.
00:34I'd put them in the same bracket as several clubs that have aspirations and real ambitions to be in the promotion push.
00:43I think they've shown that early in the season, they've slid down a little bit from where they started maybe a couple of months ago.
00:51They're obviously around the same position as us but I'm sure the size of their club is similar to ours.
00:57They've got massive backing, they've made great strides in the last couple of years.
01:02There was obviously a bit of a recruitment drive in the summer, changing the squad around.
01:07Plenty going there, Hayden coming here.
01:11It's a tough game, we knew that from last season when we played there, it was obviously our first away game.
01:18We had another tough game here.
01:20It'll be no different on Saturday but we're looking and taking strength from our last two away performances against two top teams, Crewe and Stockport.
01:29We've played exceptionally well and taken something from both games.
01:33We want to continue our progress we've made over the last three games, results-wise, and build on the performance.
01:43I think it'll be a really good game of football to be honest.
01:46It's one we obviously want to come out on top of.
01:49Alexander will hope that those words resonate with his players following the victory against Swindon, which would have boosted their morale.
01:57Alexander made clear that frustration had been creeping in before the Swindon win,
02:02especially in games where they performed better than what they were awarded with points-wise.
02:08But that they remained balanced and the three points on Saturday had given players their spring back in and around the dressing room.
02:17There was an added bonus of no midweek game for Bradford this week,
02:21allowing for training to focus deeper on tactics and getting their set-up right at Notts County.
02:27Alexander praised recent away performances at Crewe and Stockport
02:32and will certainly hope that with more time on the training ground,
02:35that his squad are able to win the on-field battles at Meadow Lane
02:39and come out on top on the day to create a gap between themselves and the Magpies in League Two,
02:45as well as closing in on the play-off places, which they are currently four points shy of.
02:51It will certainly be a tight encounter, but one that the Bantams will be looking to emerge victorious in.
