00:00 Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Thursday March the 28th,
00:05 just bringing you some of our headlines today.
00:07 First of all we have a story regarding a Doncaster woman who has received one of the highest
00:14 bravery awards for her part in the rescue of a man attempting suicide in Doncaster.
00:23 You can read all about that this morning on Facebook and on our webpage.
00:28 And also we have something from the Care Quality Commission about Doncaster's hospitals.
00:37 The Hospitals Trust has received a rating that requires improvement, that follows them
00:44 but the previous one which had a good rating, they are now saying that the hospitals need
00:52 some work to bring them up to standard.
00:55 And finally we have a story, a pair of Doncaster publicans have decided to diversify their
01:02 business.
01:03 Since Covid they've found that less and less people are going out and enjoying a pint of
01:08 a bite to eat, especially later at night as well.
01:11 So they've taken some things on board at the pub to try and entice people back through
01:19 their doors.
01:20 These include various fundraising events, just different things for people to enjoy.
01:28 They've also started up a camping site in the grounds of the pub, so hopefully that
01:34 will take off in the summer months.
01:37 So you can read that story and everything else on the website www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk
01:44 and obviously we'll keep you posted on our socials as the day goes on.
01:48 if I don't speak again I hope you have a great Easter.
