00:00 And we thought basically the transfer portal news was nearing an end.
00:04 And then boom, Kion Saab from the Michigan Wolverines.
00:10 He's able to enter the portal because of Jim Harbaugh
00:13 going to the San Diego Chargers.
00:16 Kion Saab, a defensive back on the national champion Wolverines team. Now.
00:22 If you look at this, you know, David Johnson from inside the Rebels,
00:27 Rebels 24/7 says sources tell inside the Rebels
00:31 that Ole Miss has made contact with Michigan portal safety Kion Saab.
00:35 And if you go by on threes, Hayes Fawcett.
00:38 18 schools have contacted Kion Saab
00:43 early on in his recruiting, including Georgia, including Alabama,
00:47 including Penn State, Florida State, Tennessee, kind of the usual suspects,
00:52 Oregon, Oregon State, I mean,
00:56 Oregon and Oklahoma as well.
00:59 Notre Dame has contacted him as well.
01:02 Now, Jesse Mentor, the defensive coordinator, has gone with Jim Harbaugh
01:05 to the San Diego Chargers.
01:08 Basically, they've got the hammer that's going to come down on Michigan
01:12 because it is going to come down.
01:14 I don't know what's going to happen, but they're going to be punished
01:17 for what they did.
01:19 And Kion Saab is a good player.
01:21 And this year, two players that were expected to go to the NFL
01:25 kind of returned.
01:27 With left Saab in a similar type position,
01:31 he finished last season with 28 tackles, two interceptions and four passes
01:35 defended, including against Washington.
01:39 He had six total tackles, two passes defended as well.
01:42 So he's a good player, but he was in line to start.
01:46 His starter came back at his safety position,
01:49 which was going to make it a little bit more difficult.
01:51 He had to learn a new defensive coordinator.
01:54 He had to learn a whole bunch of new stuff where any advantage
01:57 to him coming back to Michigan was essentially lost.
02:00 So why not go into the transfer portal and to see if you can
02:04 make yourself a little bit of money in the process?
02:07 Again, Saab, he was six foot one, 210 pounds, he's out of New Jersey.
02:12 He was a sophomore last year.
02:14 He went from New Jersey and played at the IMG Academy.
