00:00 EA Sports is finally bringing back their NCAA football season
00:05 with the addition of NCAA 25.
00:08 There's been a flurry of activity that has popped up over the last few days.
00:13 There's probably going to be more as it gets closer to the release of the actual
00:18 game, but this came out today.
00:21 First thoughts, A, I'm very glad that Powder Blue and Ole Miss is going to be
00:25 featured in this game, which we knew they would.
00:28 But Ole Miss has never had Powder Blue as an option because in 1995,
00:33 when Tommy Tuberville took over, right before the college football craze hit,
00:39 Ole Miss went to the Navy helmet.
00:40 So the Powder Blue has never really been an option until now.
00:45 But per Pete Knokos, starting today,
00:48 players can opt in to appearing into the upcoming NCAA football game.
00:53 All athletes who opt in will get $600 and a free copy of the game.
00:58 That is a pretty good deal.
00:59 Now, people are going to look and see the $600 and all that, and it's like,
01:02 oh, the players deserve so much money.
01:04 And they look at the value of EA Sports and all of that, and
01:09 they're like, the players are getting ripped off.
01:11 Well, nobody's buying this game because of the players.
01:14 You could have quarterback number three play quarterback at Ole Miss, and
01:18 it not even look anywhere resembling what Jackson Dart looks like.
01:22 And people are going to buy this game because of the Ole Miss stuff,
01:25 because of the band playing, because of the noise, the ancillary stuff.
01:29 Being able to take Kennesaw State on a dynasty to a three-peat win in
01:34 the college football playoff, that's the reason people are going to buy this game.
01:40 Do not make any mistake.
01:41 The players will be cool, but this is not maddened.
01:44 This is not about being a special player inside the game.
01:51 It's about being in the game.
01:54 Being a part of this will be more beneficial for
01:57 a player than a player actually trying to dominate their own prize.
02:02 That's the reason NCAA football and EA set it at $600, and you can opt out at it,
02:06 because it's just not worth paying more money than that.
