00:00 I am Gemma Tiller, I am a country music artist. I'm located in Holbury which is in the mid-north of SA.
00:07 What interests you in country music?
00:09 The connections and the people that I've met through country music. I love talking to people.
00:14 And what's been your most recent event?
00:16 Yeah, this year was my fourth term with Country Music Festival and just before that I graduated from the CMAA, Senior Academy of Country Music, which was really cool as well.
00:26 And I was there on the Keith Urban Scholarship this year.
00:29 And what did it involve being part of that?
00:31 A lot of collaboration with other artists in the industry, a lot of songwriting and a lot of business mentoring.
00:40 What inspires you to write?
00:42 Everything. I get inspiration absolutely everywhere I am, whether that be at work or in public.
00:49 I think one of the main things is when I'm working in the shearing sheds and the shearers say something completely out of pocket and I have to pull out my phone and record a voice memo.
00:58 Because, yeah, it's just so interesting some of the things that come out of people's mouth when I'm at work.
01:04 But yeah, I think I've got like 600 voice memos in my phone now of just random ideas that, yeah, pop out.
