00:00 Our top story tonight takes us to the northeast where chill is settling back in after the latest storm system.
00:05 And we had some pretty decent snow up into the Rochester metro.
00:08 And you can see what's been going on in Chi-Li, New York there.
00:11 And also Albany. So widespread snow fell the second half of the weekend.
00:16 And now we're dealing with a little bit of a return to quieter weather.
00:20 Now areas farther south and west had rain as opposed to snow.
00:23 And right now there is very little leftover precipitation.
00:26 A little bit of light snow into places from Boston South into Barnes-Stouffville County.
00:30 And also into areas near Buzzards Bay.
00:32 But otherwise we have some light snow falling up into central parts of Maine.
00:36 But we are wrapping up a storm system that brought upwards of a foot of snow into sections of New Hampshire.
00:41 And into upstate New York and other areas.
00:44 We did see a few spots with double digit snowfall over the past 24 hours.
00:49 So that was a pretty decent hit for some.
00:52 Now we're kind of getting ready for an Alberta Clipper to come in and dive sharply south across the region.
00:58 And that's going to bypass most of the traditional northeast.
01:01 More of an Ohio Valley storm system.
01:03 Current temperature 35 in Pittsburgh.
01:05 Everybody's above freezing with this view.
01:07 You can see Dallas stands at 67 degrees.
01:09 And we're going to take you to the central U.S. in just a little bit.
01:12 We have significant warmth breaking out into the northern plains.
01:15 Significant warmth this time of the year might be 40s.
01:17 But that's going to be enough to challenge record highs for some.
01:20 So our next system is coming in from the area of northern Michigan.
01:24 And this is going to dive pretty sharply south through the Ohio Valley.
01:29 And move off the Carolina coast by Wednesday.
01:32 And this system is bringing a little bit of light rain and snow mixed to northern Michigan right now.
01:36 But overall as we move through Monday night into Tuesday and Wednesday,
01:39 you can see the footprint of this bringing us some snow and rain mixed into parts of the Ohio Valley.
01:45 And mainly rain for the lower elevations out there into parts of say the Ohio River Valley.
01:51 So overall as we take a look at the current format of this storm,
01:55 there's a little bit of rain/snow mix up in the northern parts of Michigan State.
01:58 But again it's going to be a fast moving system.
02:01 So as this dives down through Tuesday,
02:04 we do see this move a little farther south through places like southern Michigan.
02:08 A rain/snow mix. Mainly snow up into Traverse City and Cadillac.
02:12 We're going to begin with a little bit of rain and change over to snow on the backside of this in Cleveland.
02:16 And we also have mainly rain farther south.
02:19 So as this digs farther south here we can press pause at 8 a.m.
02:22 A little snow to the north. Rain/snow mix from Fort Wayne north.
02:25 And then mainly rain farther south through Indiana.
02:28 And then this kind of spins a bit.
02:30 And you can see this trough will become oriented more south to north, if not southeast to northwest.
02:35 And it'll dig down into the Carolinas.
02:38 And again mainly rain in the lower elevations.
02:40 But we will see some pretty decent snow up into the central and south central Appalachians.
02:44 And as this moves on through Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.
02:47 There we are at 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
02:49 Rain breaks out into Florence, South Carolina.
02:51 Still some snow in the mountains though.
02:53 And it's going to be a quick exit off to the southeast Wednesday afternoon.
02:57 This largely misses the New England states.
03:00 Maybe a flurry or two into the Poconos.
03:02 But the bulk of the snow, coating to an inch in the low elevations.
03:06 One to three inches into the foothills. And then you get up into a little bit more than that.
03:10 In areas like Elkins, West Virginia with three to six inches of snow.
03:14 The snow plows will be out there in the eastern West Virginia.
03:17 In the high ground from 8 p.m. Tuesday through noon Wednesday.
03:19 The snow will be expected.
03:21 And then as this scoots offshore, you can see the leftover rain and snow tapers off at midweek.
