00:00 How early on did Booker decide Miami's the place for me?
00:03 Well, he always, it wasn't early to be honest. He's always obviously me and my wife both are
00:11 alums so he's grown up Miami football. But he was kind of a rebel, right? So early on in the process
00:18 he liked Florida State, he liked Ohio State, and he also liked Georgia. And so me and my wife were
00:27 like, "Hey listen, that's your decision. I don't personally care. I mean, because at the end of
00:32 the day you're going to have to do the work. You're going to have to be comfortable with the
00:35 environment that you choose." So we kind of laid back and allowed him to make that decision on his
00:41 own. Well, that's really cool. We had Tolbert Bain on a while ago. And we asked Tolbert about
00:50 his nephew Ruben. And we asked him, "Do you think Ruben decided he was going to be a Kane?" And his
00:56 answer was, "At birth." Hey, maybe that is true with Cannon. So we'll see. We'll definitely circle
01:12 to Cannon as well because we're talking about a talented family, right? So Booker, his other son
01:17 Cannon is a top offensive lineman in the class of 2026. His nephew DJ is a top defensive back in
01:24 2025, not to mention Booker, who's been rising up the rankings. And okay, so I'd love to know,
01:31 with Booker Jr., we always hear stories about how relentless of a recruiter Mario Cristobal is and
01:39 just how hard he works at that. Jason Taylor was also very much involved in this process. What was
01:45 it like? The visits, the contact with people like Mario and Jason Taylor, anything you can share
01:51 from that process, Booker? I can share that they're relentless. They are full throttle.
01:57 They don't leave any stone unturned. They're very enthusiastic. They really, really recruited
02:05 Booker harder than any other coaching staff. Text messages, the visits, the calls, they're all in.
02:15 Mario is, I mean, probably sick. A lot of coaches come in during this process,
02:22 but Mario was consistent, enthusiastic, and genuine. So, I mean, the Miami recruiting machine
02:30 is all that you hear about and more. Jason Taylor came in and Jason Taylor is the same.
02:38 He's more reserved than Mario, but he's a pounder as well. So, the combination, I think,
02:45 at least for our experience, Jason and Mario, I mean, it's a great team, great tandem together.
02:53 It was them who kind of got Booker over to Miami side.
