Chris Wilder's verdict on Sheffield United's dramatic draw with West Ham at Bramall Lane
Transcript
00:00 Employee, manager, supporter. Over the years we've seen a lot of things and yet again we've
00:07 seen an entertaining afternoon in the beautiful downtown Bramall Lane. So listen, for me it was
00:14 the least we deserved in my opinion from a statistical point of view if I can spin it
00:18 outright. The stats point to positive performance from my team and from my eyes. I'm delighted to
00:30 get something from the game because you know with five or ten minutes to go for the world it didn't
00:36 look as if we were going to get a deserved result from the game. It felt today like you had some
00:42 real minutes of ascendancy but you probably only took the one chance when you were in control.
00:48 Is that something you'll build on in the coming weeks? Yeah definitely that's something we talked
00:51 about Gary in terms of you know we got into some great positions. For me we controlled the game,
00:56 you know it never felt as if it was a six versus twenty league position but obviously it is and
01:02 there's a reason for that but what we've got to try and do is try and close that gap
01:05 with performances like that but good control of the game, good play. My only criticism really was
01:12 the last 15 minutes where all different ways to win a game of football and maybe the players
01:17 are learning about me is that you know we can't just be a one-trick pony. We have to mix the game
01:22 up and go a little bit more back to front into Wally, a little bit more which we did late on
01:28 and getting that balance right but you know we've had a bit of adversity this afternoon. Their first
01:34 goal deflation falls over Jadon Boyle to a great finish obviously. Penalty which I've got no doubt
01:43 is about. The sending off I've got still I've got an opinion on that that maybe I just best keep to
01:48 myself when having seen a tackle by a Brentford player on Vinny Souza in one of the first games
01:55 that I had in charge here and obviously a last minute equaliser from our point of view so it's
02:02 been a positive afternoon for us. We have to keep rolling, we have to keep moving it forward in
02:06 terms of performances but the attitude's good, it's strong, there's loads of personality in that
02:12 group as well. We're getting players back the likes of Tom Davis, Rhys Norrington Davis as well,
02:17 some big personalities back and hopefully we can keep going and keep moving it forward.
