Chris Wilder's reaction to Sheffield United's defeat at Sunderland, speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield
Transcript
00:00Yeah, three big moments from our point of view. Obviously, some poor goals to give away in terms
00:05of a couple of mistakes in there, which is uncharacteristic from our point of view. A big
00:10moment early on in the game, especially when you come to a place like this to get your noses in
00:14front, which we didn't take. And then, you know, that gave them a boost. Second half, the majority
00:26from my point of view was looking to the right. Just didn't find that bit of quality that, you
00:32know, we should have found because we've got enough good players at the top of the pitch
00:36to find that little bit. Not for the want of trying at all, but the attitude of the team was
00:40good. There's a few obviously out on their feet a little bit from a physical point of view that
00:47we've talked about and likely have made a couple more changes, but listen, it is what it is. We
00:52all understand that. But players went to the end. It all felt as if we would get something from the
00:58game, even like last 10 or 15 minutes. So, you know, I can't be too critical of the players.
01:05They're giving everything. We just, as I said, we've uncharacteristically made mistakes that
01:12we've made. The shape of the team was good. Didn't feel from a tactical point of view
01:20we were in trouble or they did a job on us. It was just, you know, turn over, turn over,
01:28turn over the ball and losing possession allowed them to counter on us. But, you know, it's a
01:36tough, tough period. It's been an interesting Championship day as we've seen from results,
01:43some winners, some not winning and obviously a couple of losers in there. So we have to
01:48take that on the chin and move quickly forward to the game on Saturday.
