00:00 Coach Mike McCarthy is staying put in Dallas. I'm Brianna Maranthis with Mike Fisher here at the
00:05 Star-Dallas Cowboys Headquarters. McCarthy enters his final year of his contract, fifth season with
00:11 the Cowboys, and he just spoke with the media. What did you learn from the presser? Well, he used
00:17 early on in the conversation two words that I think everybody understands, and you don't have
00:23 to be pro-McCarthy or pro the retention of McCarthy to get this raw and numb. Yeah. And that is the
00:30 result of course from what happened against Green Bay, another playoff ouster, but and I quizzed him
00:36 on this a little bit. It's also the result of three straight years of something kind of like this. Now
00:42 McCarthy did answer questions about that, mine and others. Well, they're all different. Yeah,
00:48 but they're all kind of the same. Twelve and five season with an early playoff exit. Right, and so
00:54 one of the things that needs to happen, and he discussed this quite frankly, they need to
00:57 re-examine and try to pinpoint what it is that gets in their way. And the suggestion that we've
01:06 kicked around here, if it's not coaching, and the Cowboys have decided it's not because they're
01:11 keeping their coaches, and it's not players and personnel, and the Cowboys think they are star
01:16 studded, and it's not the facility and the commitment from the owner, then what is the
01:21 common thread? And I'm glad we got a chance to pose that question to McCarthy, but I was
01:28 disappointed that his answer is they're all different. Because to Cowboy fans, to the
01:35 layman certainly, like me, they're not all different.
