Cowboys BREAKING: Sam Williams Injured, Carted Off at Dallas Camp

00:00It's the first injury scare and the first injury concern of this Dallas Cowboys training

00:06camp.

00:07I'm Mike Fisher in Oxnard with the Cowboys.

00:09Sam Williams, the talented, promising defensive end and pass rusher, has just gone down and

00:16taken off via the medical cart.

00:19The head trainer, Jim Maurer, escorting him on the cart.

00:24Clearly Sam Williams, who is working in a special teams drill, a guy who of course has

00:29been a key special teamer here, in addition to somebody who the Cowboys think can be a

00:33top-notch pass rusher, in significant pain, leg, knee, something like that.

00:40As he was being taken off in what did look like otherwise a fairly innocuous drill, it

00:47may be worth noting that the first guy to hustle out to the cart as he was going by

00:53to offer some comfort was team leader Dak Prescott.

00:57The Cowboys are trying to get through training camp like all teams do without substantial

01:01and damaging injuries.

01:04There's good news in some other regards as we've talked about a great deal here on the

01:12Trayvon Diggs, who's on PUP, that's going to be a very short-term thing.

01:15He's out here foot racing with Micah Parsons and shadow boxing with Micah Parsons and he's

01:22doing more than just being now on the resistance cords with the training staff.

01:28So Trayvon Diggs is coming soon.

01:32Sam Williams, as of right now, hoping, the Cowboys are, for some level of positive news

01:39as he goes off on the medical cart here in Oxnard.
