00:00 The NFL draft is upon us and man, the NFL has turned this into a dramatic soap operatic
00:08 event, has it not?
00:10 I'm Mike Fisher on the NFL.
00:13 We know that Caleb Williams to the Bears, the number one overall pick that seems locked
00:17 in the somewhat controversial USC quarterback and then a bundle of quarterbacks to go boom,
00:24 boom and maybe even boom after that with Daniels, the LSU quarterback, very athletic, maybe
00:30 to Washington at two and then may maybe do New England at three taking over for Mac Jones
00:37 as they start over again at quarterback in New England.
00:40 J.J. McCarthy might be in the mix here too, might be an NFC East quarterback looking forward
00:46 Atlanta drafting at number eight again and maybe this time it's defense.
00:52 Dallas Turner, Mitchell on defense, Burse on defense.
00:57 That seems like a likelihood for Atlanta at number eight.
01:00 The Jets pick at number 10 and even though they grabbed themselves former Dallas Cowboys
01:04 and future Hall of Famer tackle Tyron Smith, they might still because this is an Aaron
01:09 Rodgers era and this era needs to in order to accomplish anything have Aaron Rodgers
01:15 survive.
01:16 Offensive line for Jets at number 10 is a possibility.
01:20 Rumors of the Eagles moving up, rumors of the Dallas Cowboys moving down and what's
01:26 going on with the Cowboys here is the idea that at pick number 24 there might be this
01:30 bundle again that word of players that they view as worthy of 24.
01:35 So if the draft gets to 24 and the Cowboys still have this group of four or six or more
01:42 guys and a couple of them are still there, maybe the Cowboys trade down.
01:46 Why would they do that?
01:48 And why is it notable for the Cowboys more than others?
01:50 Because this is a 12 and 5 team, a playoff team, perennial playoff team that has won
01:55 36 regular season games in the last three years, second only to the Chiefs and yet because
02:01 of what they have done, well haven't done in free agency, they have all sorts of holes
02:06 and so a tradeback gives them an extra pick and boy could they use it.
02:11 Does Seattle need an offensive lineman late in the draft in the first round?
02:16 The Rams have themselves a rare first round pick.
02:19 It's been a long time since the Rams had a first round pick.
02:22 F them picks!
02:23 Except not this year.
02:24 They've got themselves a quality opportunity in the first round.
02:30 The Bills picking late, the rumors of course would have them trying to replace the controversial
02:35 and traded Stephon Diggs but they would be wise to not pick a position, they'd be wise
02:43 to pick a player even though obviously they are starved at the wide receiver position
02:48 and then maybe the Ravens go offensive line late.
02:51 A lot of moving and shaking to be done in advance of and then on draft night itself
02:57 and we'll have all those moves for you as they come in in our coverage right here on
03:02 this site.
03:03 So find us and find our coverage.
03:06 I'm Mike Fisher, the Fish Report, out.
