00:00 Blue, I got a question from one of our Locked on Canes insiders.
00:03 When I mentioned Larry Blustein is coming on today.
00:05 He wants me to ask you about the development in their senior years
00:09 of high school from what he refers to as the three star
00:12 brigade in the defensive secondary, like Ryan Mack, OJ Frederique and Dylan Day.
00:18 Now, Mack, I saw Mack have a great under armor game.
00:21 He was a lockdown corner.
00:22 Dylan Day is like the quietest guy in Miami's recruiting class.
00:25 He doesn't talk a whole lot, not very much on social media.
00:28 OJ Frederique, another big time local kid.
00:31 What have you seen and what do you expect out of those three?
00:33 Well, Ryan not only had an outstanding under armor game, but he had a great week
00:41 and he was going up against some of the premier receivers in the country
00:44 who were in the game and certainly a lot of, I mean, come on,
00:48 look at his bloodlines, obviously.
00:49 He's a Cane legacy, somebody who's done some tremendous
00:53 things over the last couple of years.
00:55 He's emerged as a really good safety.
00:57 He's got really loose hips, so he covers extremely well as you know,
01:01 and that that's important, too, because he's got those those cover skills,
01:06 but also that attitude to play safety.
01:09 The other kid, Romanis Frederique, OJ Frederique, who came from Deerfield,
01:13 played at St. Thomas last year.
01:15 And another one of those guys, a safety bigger body,
01:19 you know, than a lot of people, you know, would give him credit for.
01:25 You know, he's over six, six and a half, 180,
01:28 really good nose for the football.
01:31 The only thing lacking him and separating him from, you know,
01:34 maybe making impact at the at the next level is experience,
01:38 you know, and getting an opportunity to because the game is going to speed up
01:43 in a major way, so he has to keep up with it.
01:45 And I think the big key of the three stars is a kid, Dylan Day,
01:50 comes from a tremendous program in Southern Lab out of Baton Rouge.
01:53 He's played against some really, really good football players.
01:56 A lot of guys that I know in that area talk nothing but great things for him.
02:00 He thought that he would end up at LSU down the road,
02:04 you know, when he first started out, he was one of what he's
02:07 he's almost been committed for like 10 months, you know, I mean, to Miami.
02:11 And then he signed on National Signing Day.
02:14 A kid who's like I said, he's agile.
02:16 He's not the biggest guy.
02:17 He's 5'11".
02:18 He weighs maybe in the 165 170 range.
02:22 You know, another safety which Miami is going to need.
02:25 I mean, you know, especially with two guys like Williams and Kitchens,
02:29 you know, departed, you're going to need somebody like that.
02:31 So I think all three of them, you know, they're going to be in the learning process.
02:35 But all three have really good talent.
02:38 And they all, you know, lend a different thing to the game.
02:42 And I think, you know, all three of them are going to be surprising.
