00:00 Derby Day delight here for Newcastle United Stadium. United finished Sunland 0, Newcastle
00:05 United 3. The levels show today, Sunland a championship team, Newcastle a Premier League
00:11 team and for all that game, for most of that game, Newcastle United were a class above.
00:16 They took the lead for a Dan Ballard own goal, came after Joe Linton, a brilliant run down
00:21 the left hand side. Cross was I'd say converted by Ballard, I'd say it was a gift from Sunland
00:29 but Alexander Isak was at the back post ready to tap home. After the break Newcastle quickly
00:34 doubled their lead and that was a gift. Pierre Equa robbed a possession by Miguel Almiron
00:40 who himself set up Isak. Joe Linton came off injured which was a concern, went down with
00:47 a groin injury in the first half, only played a minute of the second half and had to come
00:50 off. His departure in midfield allowed Sunland to give Sunland a little bit of a route back
00:56 into the game. Physically they missed Joe Linton, Lewis Miley, for as great as he is
01:02 struggled to really stand his authority on the game straight away and proved as the game
01:06 went on admittedly. The result never looked in doubt to be honest, I think there was Martin
01:11 de Brodka made two saves with that, Sunland got themselves in some decent positions but
01:16 as I say Newcastle were the far superior team. They added a third right at the end, Anthony
01:22 Gordon fouled by Dan Ballard inside the penalty area and Alexander Isak stepped up to score
01:28 his second and write himself into Derby folklore. There weren't many who scored a brace in this
01:32 fixture so he is now one of them. Newcastle's first Derby win against Sunland since 2011
01:40 the last time they were here. Ryan Taylor right at that end free kick. Memorable the
01:46 way day four the 6,000 Newcastle fans behind me there you can still see they're inside
01:50 the stadium waiting to be let out and get back. Then buses straight up the A19 and I
01:54 suggest probably straight out to Newcastle tonight to enjoy that one. It's been a while
01:58 since I've enjoyed a win over Sunland. The clubs are at very different parts of their
02:02 journey if you like Newcastle are the Premier League team, Sunland are the Championship
02:05 team trying to get back into the Premier League so the levels showed but that win will still
02:10 taste really sweet for Newcastle United's fans, players and staff.
