00:00 We're here at Barnawatha for the second day of the premier weaner sales here in Wodonga.
00:08 Brett Shea is the manager of elders at Albury.
00:11 Brett, there was about 3,000 head yarded today.
00:14 How did you see the market?
00:15 Yeah, really happy.
00:16 Yeah, tick over about 32 or 300 I think it was, Steve.
00:20 Look, really, really, really happy.
00:23 Feature of the day was probably a great run of grown steers out the front that we saw
00:26 sort of cattle on and either side of 500 kilos making up to sort of $3.20.
00:32 Everything made over $3, $3.05 to $3.20.
00:35 Back inside on our good black calves, you know, the heavy end of them made $3 to $3.10.
00:40 Once you got into the middle run of that sort of $3.30 to $3.70 bracket, you were closer
00:44 to $3.40.
00:45 And with an odd sale sort of spiking above that if they were, you know, right in the
00:50 slot weight wise and weaned and ticked all the boxes.
00:53 But yeah, incredibly happy with the result.
00:56 With all our vendors that have continued to support this fixture every year.
00:59 Yeah, but no, really happy with today's results, Steve.
01:03 And there was a good quality throughout the whole yarding.
01:06 Yeah, absolutely.
01:07 Like it's just, you know, we've turned the corner into the new year and, you know, these
01:11 vendors year in, year out present them for this sale.
01:14 You know, it's just very consistent with sort of supporting these first week of January
01:19 sales.
01:21 Fantastic support from the north, which we were all hoping was going to come on the back
01:24 of that rain.
01:25 But certainly, you know, yeah, they were here in numbers, went well and still sort of enough
01:30 local inquiry as well just to be able to keep the job up.
01:33 So yeah, fantastic results, Steve.
01:34 Thanks very much.
01:35 Thank you.
