Steven Mudford smashes 25 year old solo nine-hour shearing world record.

00:00Stephen Mudford has shorn his name into the history books once more after obliterating the solo 9 hour shearing world record on Saturday.
00:10All up, Mr Mudford shore 421 18 micron weathers at Parkdale near Colli, beating the previous record of 418 set by a New Zealand shearer 25 years ago in 1999.
00:23Across the 9 hour stint, which was more than 2 years in the making, Mr Mudford averaged 1.28 minutes per sheep and completed the mammoth feat in 5 rounds of 89, 84, 85, 80 and 83.
00:37No stranger to the record books, the Gilgandra shearing contractor also set the 8 hour solo shearing world record in 2018 and the 3 standing shearing world record in 2014.
00:49The event also raised $8,000 for the family of Will Coy, a Central West Wool classer who recently lost his battle to cancer.
