00:00Hi, and welcome back to the episode of The Land's Last Slot, where we take a look at
00:08some of the stud stock sale results and trends over the past fortnight.
00:11I'm journalist Elke Devney.
00:13And I'm livestock editor Rebecca Nagy.
00:15Well, it's been yet another busy fortnight, particularly for those studs up on the Monaro.
00:20Yeah, it certainly has been, Bec, and we're almost at the end of our sale run.
00:23So what have agents said this past fortnight?
00:26The messaging's been pretty similar to the rest of the season, actually, and that's that
00:29buyers are just chasing better quality sheep.
00:33They're finding out where the top rams are.
00:35They're prepared to travel to see them, and that's where the competition is.
00:38Agents did say that the Monaro sales have gone well, considering the season and where
00:42the wool market's at.
00:43Well, that's really positive to hear.
00:45In the breakdown, high country sales included Hazeldean, which sold 205 of 208 rams to a
00:52top of 10,000 to average 2,843.
00:56Greendale, 79 of 80, sold to 6,250 to average 2,525.
01:03And Greenland sold 72 of 80 to a $3,600 top and 1,873 average.
01:11Further afield, Grassy Creek had a strong sale with 171 of 180 rams, reaching a top
01:17of 12,500 to average 3,545.
01:23Tullawong sold 122 of 158 to 7,000, averaging 2,713.
01:30And Dustin Rheindorfer's at Poonkeri also had a good result, with all 100 rams selling
01:35to 9,700 to average 4,787.
01:40Larraban Pomerino's near Mudgie cleared 54 of 60 rams to an $8,000 top to average $2,055.
01:48And in the working dog, Capri's multi-vendor sale also proved pretty popular, with an 18
01:52and a half thousand dollar top to average 10,227 for 11 of 13 lots.
01:59That's all we have time for this week, but you can find the full results via the Lands
02:03website.
02:04And keep an eye out for our upcoming episodes, where we rank the top cattle studs and the
02:09top sheep studs.
02:11And we'll see you next time.
