00:00Hi, and welcome back to another episode of The Land's Last Lob, where we take a look
00:09at some of the stud stock sale results and trends across New South Wales.
00:12I'm journalist Elke Demny.
00:14And I'm livestock editor, Rebecca Naj.
00:16Well, it's been a whirlwind sale season and several months on the road, but things are
00:21finally winding up.
00:22Yeah, it sure has, Bec.
00:24Time certainly flies when you're having fun, but this episode, we've got something a little
00:27bit different.
00:28Can you tell us a bit more about it?
00:29Yeah, that's right.
00:30So we are looking for the top 10 most influential Angus studs.
00:34There's obviously a lot of ways to rank sale results.
00:37We're doing this by the number of bulls sold at auction.
00:41And this also only includes New South Wales studs and New South Wales sales.
00:45So kicking us off, in the top 10, we've got Gilman Dyke Angus.
00:49The orange-based stud set an on-property record with a top of $100,000 to average 9,999 across
00:56101 bulls.
00:58Clockwork, Millamara Angus, delivered an incredibly strong result this season.
01:02They sold all 123 bulls to a top of $140,000 to average $27,227.
01:09Bec, you were at the stands for both of those sales.
01:12What was the atmosphere like?
01:13Really good.
01:14Gilman Dyke came early in the season.
01:16There was a big round of applause when the bull was knocked down for six figures.
01:20And Millamara really is a league of its own.
01:22That average was unsurpassed.
01:24It's always an electric atmosphere at that sale, too.
01:27In eighth, we have Ryland Angus, which cleared 165 bulls across four sales, reaching a top
01:33price of $30,000 to average $8,552.
01:38They were followed closely by Kulaks Bongongo Angus, which sold 168 bulls over two sales.
01:44They hit a $22,000 top to average $10,824.
01:49In sixth place, Clooney Angus cleared 187 bulls to $35,000 with a strong average of
01:56$16,096.
01:58Breaking into the top five, Bhingra-starred Booramooka Angus sold 239 bulls to a high
02:04of $46,000 to average $12,686.

02:58to average $14,264.
03:02That really is such an impressive result.
03:04An incredible season for Renny Lee and the entire top 10.
03:08Worth noting too, Mill Willer sold 99 bulls to average $22,876.
03:15And Victorian stud Tamania, it hasn't been included in this report, but their Walgett
