00:09at some of the stud stock sale results and trends across New South Wales. I'm journalist
00:13Elke Dempney.
00:14And I'm livestock editor, Rebecca Natch. This week, we are taking a look at the most influential
00:19meat shaped studs across the 2024 selling season.
00:22Yeah, that's right, Beth. And we're looking at the number of rams sold at auction in New
00:26South Wales by New South Wales studs.
00:29Kicking things off, we have two studs that sold 141 rams each. Macquarie Doonies reached
00:35a top price of $6,000, averaging $2,191, while Cordell Border Lesters also sold 141 rams
00:44to a $6,500 top, averaging $1,749. Felix Rams of Greenthorpe cleared all 143 pole dorset
00:54rams to an $8,400 top, averaging $2,939. It's worth noting that Felix also recorded
01:02an impressive $28,000 top in its White Suffolk draft, but this ranking has looked at breeds
01:08individually.
01:09In eighth is Yaslok White Suffolk with 145 rams selling to $2,600 and averaging $1,097.
01:17In seventh is Glenfinnan White Suffolk with 146 selling to a $3,400 top to average $1,612.
01:24Tara Lee comes in at both sixth and fifth. The studs sold 165 pole dorsets to $6,250,
01:33averaging $1,701, along with 165 White Suffolks to a $13,500 top, averaging $1,612.
01:43Taddekeel Australian White sold 167 rams to a $50,000 top, averaging $5,714, and Morocco
01:51Pole Dorset sold 176 to a $3,300 top to average $1,835.
01:58Second goes to Springwaters Pole Dorsets with 231 rams selling to a $12,000 top, averaging
02:05$2,405.
02:08And coming out on top is Burrawang Dorsets, who sold 260 rams across two sales to a top
02:14of $20,000, averaging $3,434.
02:17There were of course plenty of other studs with awesome results this season, but congratulations
02:23to our top 10.
