Alex Donno and Larry Blustein discuss the likelihood of Miami flipping Jordan Lyle from Ohio State and Armondo Blount from Florida State before national signing day on December 20th.

00:00 been some smoke about Jordan Lyle possibly flipping to the U. You've watched this player
00:05 up close and personal at St. Thomas Aquinas. Give us your thoughts. Yeah, for a couple years,
00:09 tremendous running back, great balance, good speed. He doesn't go down on the first hit.
00:17 He's a gamer. Had a really good state championship game against Homestead. Obviously,
00:25 this is somebody that a lot of people have been watching all year long for all the things that
00:30 he did. Even had a really good game against Bosco to open up the season with a loss. But
00:36 he's one of those guys that can catch the ball out of the backfield. He does a lot of really,
00:42 really good things. He's certainly somebody if Miami could land, especially the news about Riley.
00:49 I'll tell you what, though, that's kind of disheartening because I thought Riley was
00:54 one of those jewels of the class big time kid. But you mentioned he's close by in Tuscaloosa. So
01:00 if Alabama had a need for an extra running back, certainly, you know, he would be a guy I go to guy.
01:07 I mentioned Florida Gators commit. He's already arrived in Miami. I've seen the photos of him
01:13 on campus next to the palm trees. I may have made that up that he threw up the U,
01:18 but I think he may have thrown up the U. And that's a Darius Hayes,
01:21 four star linebacker out of Largo, Florida. He's been committed blue for a long time to
01:25 the University of Florida. Florida obviously has had some issues keeping commits and losing
01:31 players to the transfer portal after a tough season. A Darius Hayes is another one they're
01:35 looking out for. Have you had a chance to scout this linebacker in person? Give me your thoughts.
01:40 Yeah, I've seen him for a couple of years back when he was a freshman and,
01:44 you know, kind of made the, you know, the explosion in camps and have had an opportunity
01:51 to watch him, watch him mature and grow. Big time kid, no doubt, big elite national recruit,
01:58 somebody that you take a look at. And, you know, he's he's a big, thick kid, maybe more,
02:06 probably faster than the kid Bryant that they got last year, but a lot like him in size and,
02:12 you know, his durability. But yeah, he would he would definitely be an asset to what Miami
02:18 is trying to do. And, you know, especially bringing a young kid like that to go with
02:24 some of the veteran players that Miami already has. And by the way, Robbie Duke says that, yeah,
02:29 Hayes did throw up the U in that. I wasn't imagining things when I saw that picture of
02:33 him throwing up the U and so did Armando Blunt. Let's talk about Armando Blunt, Blue,
02:38 Miami Central. You know, he's he has reclassified from 2025 to 2024. And part of the reason why he
02:45 could do that is he's an excellent student. Great in the class. Like not everybody can just decide
02:49 I'm going to graduate high school here. I could have done that. Right. He's got the grades to do
02:54 it. He's been a Florida. He was a Miami commit. Then he was a Florida state commit since October.
03:00 Now there's smoke about Armando flipping back to Miami. This is a two parter, Blue. I'd love your
03:05 scouting report on Armando Blunt out of Miami Central. That's number one. And number two,
03:09 if Miami can pull off this flip after recently flipping Justin Scott,
03:13 is this the best defensive line class potentially that Miami's ever had?
03:17 Ever by far. I mean, if they can get if they can get the this class, especially these guys at the
03:26 last minute, especially what they have on hand with Scott and who's a beast. Yeah, this is definitely
03:33 it. And I've had an opportunity to watch Blunt since he was in eighth grade. Started at Dillard
03:39 High School as an eighth grader. Major athlete, quick, strong, rated as the number one shot putter
03:48 in the country for his age. And it just shows you his athletic ability and versatility. And yeah, he
03:55 between he and Randy Adarica at Miami Central, they dominated that front line this past year.
04:01 And he's one of those dudes that comes in there, gets a little bit of playing time,
04:06 you know, as a freshman, but extensive playing time.
