00:00 John, what are your takeaways from the Lions' devastating defeat over the weekend to the Bears at Soldier Field?
00:06 Yeah, Vito, real disappointing performance by the Detroit Lions, especially against a division rival.
00:12 You would have thought the Lions would have played a cleaner brand of football.
00:15 Dan Campbell discussed after the 15-point loss, the word that he used to describe the performance was "undisciplined."
00:21 And it was a game, Vito, that was real sloppy, especially in the second half.
00:24 You realize, Vito, that the Lions were leading after the half, and you recognize, okay, it was a tight divisional battle.
00:32 But once the Lions got to the third quarter, their struggles really was a detriment to the team.
00:38 You had fumbles, you had interceptions, you had really sloppy play across the board, and that led to the Bears winning.
00:46 And most notably, Aidan Hutchinson jumping offside on a fourth and 13 when the Bears had no intention of snapping the football.
00:55 And you recognize that led to a deep touchdown to DJ Moore, and that all but sealed the contest.
01:01 So really, Vito, in the end, the Lions were not able to really play their game at any point in the contest.
01:08 And Dan Campbell said it.
01:09 If the football team is going to play that undisciplined, it's going to be very tough to leave a road contest with a victory,
01:16 especially in the division, against an opponent that was really motivated.
01:20 You could tell, Vito, the Bears had an extra pep in their step to try and defeat the Detroit Lions.
01:25 You saw them, you saw their defensive line really pepper Jared Goff.
01:29 You saw in the second half, they really took it to the Lions.
01:32 And you recognize, Vito, in a contest when Amon Ross St. Brown has multiple drops, then you know it's not your day.
01:40 So for the Lions, it was an undisciplined performance, and they look to rebound this weekend against the Broncos at home back at Ford Field.
