00:00 My chainsaw cuts through the fabric of reality reshaping the world in my image.
00:05 Here's a look at the brand new 3-0 Chainsaw Man Fig-Zero Denji 1/6 scale
00:10 figure.
00:12 Enjoy!
00:19 Fig-Zero's 1/6 scale Denji is approximately 11.6 inches tall and a
00:48 fully articulated collectible figure with over 27 points of articulation and a
00:52 brand new torso design specially for the figure. All parts are sculpted by renowned
00:56 Japanese sculptor Akinori Takaki. Denji includes a total of two
01:00 interchangeable face plates, smirking and gloating expressions and an
01:04 interchangeable chainsaw head. The lower jaw of the chainsaw head is
01:07 interchangeable between closed and open mouth with tongue sticking out the open
01:11 jaw and articulated joint in the base. The figure also includes a total of six
01:15 sets of interchangeable hands and a pair of chainsaw forearms to complete the
01:19 transformation into Chainsaw Man. Just before we look at the details on Denji
01:24 I'd like to first thank the folks over at 3-0 that were kind enough to provide
01:28 the sample of the Chainsaw Man that we could have a look at. The figure is
01:31 listed as $149 US dollars over on their site and slated to release the third
01:36 quarter of 2023. As for the height of the figure you're looking at Denji
01:40 standing 11 inches exactly or the figure is going to be about 28 centimeters
01:45 tall. You'll be all happy to know you get the necessary transformation pieces in
01:50 order to turn Denji into Chainsaw Man but just though before we do that I want
01:54 to show you guys the other things that come included with the figure. Not as
01:57 exciting as bows as chainsaw parts but you get tiny replaceable pegs for the
02:01 hands in case you happen to damage the ones that he currently has right now in
02:04 his forearms. The figure also has coming included with him as well an axe. The axe
02:09 has been very nicely cast here in a very dark gray plastic. You can see like the
02:14 actual head of the axe has been more colored in a gunmetal gray with a nice
02:17 silver blade on the bottom of it. It's a really nice looking axe. To go along with
02:21 that of course you get the necessary hands to hold the axe. It'll be just a
02:25 case of swapping out the existing fists that Denji has right now and you either
02:29 swap it out for this hand or don't worry you'll be also happy to know as well he
02:32 has a hand to go on the other side as well. While we're also on the topic of
02:36 hands the figure comes included with a pair of relaxed hands. He also as well
02:40 comes with a couple of gestured hands pointing and V formation or peace hand.
02:45 He also comes in with that as well. The most important hand I feel of all the
02:49 hands happens to be this one right here. This plays a significant role when it
02:53 comes to him transforming into Chainsaw Man. We're gonna get back to this. We're
02:57 gonna get back to this more in a moment. The figure also comes included with
03:00 Pochita. Now Pochita actually originally was a larger size devil and very
03:06 almost fatally wounded. He was bleeding when he first came up to Denji and
03:11 Denji actually gave him a little bit of his own blood. He ended up reverting it
03:14 to the kind of the shape of this dog-like creature with a big giant
03:17 chainsaw sticking out the front of the head. It was actually a much more
03:20 menacing devil-like sized creature but again when it got injured it kind of
03:24 transformed into more like a little dog kind of chainsaw creature instead. You
03:28 can see there's the little pulling string on the back of it and a chainsaw
03:31 blade there on the front. A really cute little version of Pochita. We're gonna
03:35 move that also to the side as well. Denji also comes included with an
03:39 interchangeable face plate. This one actually, this interchangeable face
03:43 plate according to the instructions is called the gloating face. I can
03:45 definitely see a little bit of gloat there on Denji's face here. He has of
03:49 course the tongue sticking out there. A little bit more of an expression than
03:52 the one he currently has right now. Now you'll notice that this one doesn't
03:55 actually have hair. It's just the front face plate. Changing out the faces, if say
04:00 for example you didn't want to go, I actually kind of like this one really of
04:03 the two more than the gloating face myself. But if you wanted to change out
04:07 the faces, it's just a case of taking the front of the face off. First you want to
04:11 remove the front of the hair and then you'll want to detach the front of the
04:14 face. Now you don't even really need to remove the head completely from its
04:18 ball joint. It's just a case of sandwiching or unsandwiching I suppose
04:22 the front of the face there. There we go. What is this just a case of it actually
04:26 if you see on the side this little front rectangular shape literally just plugs
04:31 into the top there. And then we're going to take then the gloating face, plug it
04:35 back in place here, line up everything accordingly and then from there you're
04:39 just going to simply put the hair back in place. It's a pretty seamless
04:42 completion that when you look at it from the side you'd really be hard-pressed to
04:45 even see where the hair is actually a separate piece. Really nice sculpting
04:49 work from the talented team over at 3Zero. Now of course this is all just
04:53 straight Denji as he's normally displayed until of course you're ready
04:56 to transform him into Chainsaw Man. If you have seen though the series you know
05:01 he has a rather interesting transformation. What you'll do is first
05:05 of all the tie does have a wire frame to it so you can actually bend the tie as
05:09 well if you wanted to. This kind of certainly helps to get the tie out of
05:12 the way and like in the series basically opens up his shirt there. There's a snap
05:17 that attaches this this one button right here on either side attaches it together.
05:21 And when you open it up he has a drawstring right in the middle of his
05:25 chest and the series he would just pull that out and then proceed to transform
05:30 into Chainsaw Man. You can do something very similar to that if you grab the
05:34 triangular piece on the end very carefully though. You don't want to
05:37 really pull it too quickly for the rest that could potentially break. You're
05:40 going to draw the cord out. It only seems to go about here. After that it seems to
05:46 have some resistance so I really wouldn't want to pull it any further than
05:49 that. And then from there you're gonna go ahead and take this hand just attach it.
05:53 Remember that hand we were talking about earlier? Yeah we're gonna come back to
05:56 that. I'm gonna remove the hand just take it off the off the provided peg and
06:00 we're gonna replace it then with that other hand that we were looking at. We're
06:03 gonna just plug that back in place here there. I want to make sure it's all the way on
06:06 the peg after all. There we go. And then with the benefit of having a double hinge
06:10 on the elbow you can bring the cord out here and he can latch onto it with his
06:14 finger. That's a little easier of course to do this when you're not having this
06:19 in front of your camera here but this just plugs in place and literally he's
06:24 just gonna be pulling the cord out. And if I can actually get it on there I had
06:28 no worries doing it earlier. Might even even help actually to take the string
06:32 and fit it around his finger. There we go. All right there we go. And you can
06:37 actually have it in like in a series where he pulls the cord out and once he
06:41 pulls the cord then the transformation all starts. Very cool. I like the way that
06:45 they've displayed this. Now obviously to switch the parts then over to Chainsaw
06:50 Man. We don't really necessarily need to have this. We're gonna actually I'm gonna
06:54 just put this back where I found it. I really don't like the idea of this
06:57 sticking out the way it is. This is plastic by the way and there's always a
07:00 potential this could actually break. I can't think that you could probably do
07:04 this too often because as easy as it may be to pull this out it's a lot more
07:09 difficult to get this back into the hole. It's literally just a case you kind of
07:12 have to carefully feed this into the provided hole and not break the plastic
07:17 in the process. Because really once you break this tab, this little draw cord,
07:22 obviously having it posed in that way is gonna be making things a little bit
07:25 more difficult. So what I'll do is this sort of close back up shot and I'll put
07:29 back down the tie because we don't really need to go back and revisit that.
07:32 What we'll do instead is we'll look at the other accessories he comes included
07:36 with if again you want to have him transform into Chainsaw Man. My ideal
07:40 real way of actually having the figure displayed on my shelf. First of all you
07:44 get these chainsaw arms. Now in the series these literally would just be
07:48 revving their way around and the teeth would be feeding their way through his
07:51 forearms. You can see all the blood from his arms found their way on the actual
07:56 chainsaw. The teeth themselves are fairly pointy. One thing also too is the kind of
08:01 plastic that they're using too. You just want to be careful you don't want to
08:04 clip this or have a snag on anything because any one of these have the
08:08 potential to break. Really nicely looking chainsaws. The blades
08:13 themselves as you can see are a little bit more of a darker gray than the
08:15 lighter silver on the inside but again you've got that running track of red as
08:20 you can see the blood smeared across the front and the back of the blades. Very
08:24 very cool. To change these out what you'll have to actually do is you'll
08:27 have to divorce completely the forearm on Denji. So what you'll do is take the
08:32 arm and right where the elbow is going to kind of hold on to the bicep section.
08:36 You just kind of have to wiggle this back and forth. Now the few times I
08:40 did this was actually a little bit harder to do. What's left behind is sort
08:44 of just like a little post or a paddle so to speak and that literally just sits
08:49 inside the canal there on the inside of his forearm. You do it on the one side
08:52 and you'll do the exact same thing then on the other. Again it's just a
08:56 wiggling case back and forth until finally that little tiny paddle of
09:00 plastic finally frees itself and then from there of course you're gonna feed
09:03 the arm back in the way that you found it. You want to make sure of course you've
09:07 got the right side in and you're just gonna plug this back in place. I found
09:13 honestly this was the harder of the two things to do just because again like
09:16 you're gonna have to worry the whole time that you don't bend the teeth of
09:19 the chainsaw and you want to make sure that you guide this back into where the
09:23 elbow once was. There we go. That's one side and we'll do of course the other
09:27 side as well. You want to make sure of course also too when you're putting it
09:31 in you want to make sure that of course the paddle is facing the right way. That
09:34 little lip of plastic has to go the right way and again you just guide it
09:37 back in. Guide it back in to eventually now he's got the chainsaw arms in place.
09:43 It's a very pricky situation as you can imagine just by holding on to this alone
09:48 you can kind of really feel it. I'm just gonna bring these arms down here for a
09:50 second and let's look at the chainsaw head. Now Chainsaw Man actually is
09:55 literally just a chainsaw as a head. Big long rows of teeth. You can see there's
10:00 the top and the bottom very similar to that of the forearm. It's a nice blood
10:03 added in there as well. I really like the coloring that they went with for this
10:07 orange. Now in the series sometimes you may actually see his eye on the inside
10:11 of it. You don't really get the chance to see it as much here. Now this is actually
10:14 the closed mouth. It really wasn't technically the way it came out of the
10:18 packaging. In the packaging in fact he actually already had the tongue sticking
10:22 out so there's that option available as well. If you wanted to change it it's
10:25 just a case of wiggling the jaw out and on either side there's a slot opening
10:29 there and a slot opening there. You're gonna take then the tongue part and that
10:33 just fits in. See there's a little plastic tab and the plastic tab. Yeah you
10:37 already know that's gonna fit in place and that's what it looks like with the
10:40 tongue sticking out. Really between the two I actually like the teeth more. I just
10:45 like the top and bottom row of teeth. I don't really like as much the tongue so
10:48 I'm gonna go myself and stick with in fact just the teeth. Just the smile. That's
10:53 just gonna plug back into place. Really nicely detailed on the teeth. A little bit
10:57 of a darker brown added to the top and bottom of it as well. Really adds a
11:01 really nice dark contrast and of course it's got the handle there also in the
11:04 back as well. You want to just kind of bring the handle just a little bit back
11:07 but it certainly does look like a chainsaw if a chainsaw was some guy's
11:11 head. One last thing is required for transformation though. He also comes in
11:15 clear with this sort of neck beard piece. This will go over top of his existing
11:20 neck and of course to accomplish that you're gonna grab the figure's head of
11:23 Denji and you want to remove it. Now when you remove it you want to also make sure
11:27 as well that you're taking the ball joint along for the ride because the
11:31 chainsaw head already has its own dedicated peg you can see right there.
11:35 You want to make sure of course nothing's left behind and that is just
11:38 gonna plug in place. Now I find it actually helps to wiggle this back and
11:41 forth before you put it down because of course there's really not a lot of place
11:45 that you can put pressure on. You certainly don't want to do it to handle.
11:47 You certainly don't want to do it to the back of it. You want to just kind of kind
11:51 of again just like hold the side. You should wiggle it back and forth and plug
11:55 everything in as best you can get it. Oh actually one last thing. This whole talk
11:59 of doing this. One last thing I actually forgot to do is I forgot to put that
12:03 neckbeard piece. Now you want to kind of make sure that this just you can kind of
12:08 tuck it inside the collar if you wanted to. You can also really if you wanted to
12:12 just undo this I suppose if you if you wanted to as well. I'm just gonna kind of
12:16 leave the shirt as it is. Sometimes he's shirtless in the series. Other times you
12:20 know he's got the shirt on also as well. Let's just go ahead and put the bottom
12:23 of the jaw piece back in for a chainsaw man's head. I want to make sure that's all
12:27 in there. Now let's go ahead and put that back in place. Now again you want to make
12:32 sure here's one thing with the neckbeard it has to go far enough down because if
12:38 it doesn't you can kind of see there's all this excess at the top there. You
12:42 want to make sure that that's kind of as close as to bottom of the neck so really
12:46 again it has less to kind of work with or I guess less mileage it has to work
12:50 with when it comes to attaching the peg. And again that just plugs in place. There
12:54 we go. Now that looks finished and that's chainsaw man now finally complete.
12:59 Chainsaw man of course has the arms as a chainsaws, has a head as a chainsaw and
13:03 the only thing that's really lacking unfortunately when it comes to a figure
13:06 like this is like the shirt remains really quite clean. If you watch the
13:10 brutality in the series he does a lot of hacking and slashing and blood usually
13:15 splatters its way all across his shirt or if he's shirtless when he's battling
13:18 the demon at the time again like there's blood everywhere. I would really love to
13:22 get the chance to see this guy maybe as a shirtless bloodied version. Something
13:26 that I could certainly see 3-0 do down the road considering that they really
13:29 already have the elements and the molds in place. They already have it for the arms,
13:33 certainly already have it for the head. I'd love to get a bloodied version of
13:36 chainsaw man at some point. Really an interesting looking figure though. For me
13:41 at least certainly when it comes to displaying him while I do always
13:43 appreciate the fact that they gave us the pre-chainsaw state of
13:47 Denji. All the extra accessories that he came included with, I mean for me at
13:51 least displaying him is definitely gonna be chainsaw man 100%. Now for the
13:55 figure's articulation it still remains about the same. It's just with the head
14:00 sculpt being the way it is right now, this beard piece additional piece that
14:04 he has on top of his neck does cause a little bit of limitations when it comes
14:07 to the articulation but you can move the head back and forth up and down and of
14:12 course technically you could really rotate it back and forth this way also
14:15 as well. There's really no articulation though for the jaw. The jaw really
14:18 remains still closed like this or again if you wanted to you can also have the
14:22 figure displayed with the tongue sticking out if you want to go that
14:25 route instead. The upper torso is on a ball joint. Just again when you're doing
14:31 this you want to make sure that the pull cord, the drawstring, is actually still
14:34 tucked back inside his torso. He has an upper torso ball joint so you can rotate
14:37 that all the way around. His arms do come out and while I am doing this I will
14:42 draw again attention to the fact that you will you're gonna feel this if you
14:45 get too close to these things. I mean I've already pricked myself a couple of
14:48 times but the arms do come out at 90 degrees. You can bring his arms forward
14:52 although they're a little harder to do you can also bring them back also as
14:55 well. He retains all the same articulation as when he was Denji
14:59 before so the biceps still swivels. He still has a single hinge in the elbow
15:03 but the way that the elbow works there's a hinge really technically at the top
15:06 and there's a hinge there at the bottom so really it is a double hinge on the
15:10 elbow even though when you're looking at from the front it looks only like as one
15:13 continuous hinge it's in fact actually a double hinge. There's one on the there
15:17 one there and one there obviously. The only thing he actually does lose really
15:21 as Chainsaw Man is he doesn't then have wrist articulation. You can't move it
15:24 back and forth but that's a sacrifice. A more willingness to give up. The legs
15:29 certainly do split out. You can do a full split on you know on Chainsaw Man's
15:32 legs. You can bring the legs forward. You can bring the legs back. He has a swivel
15:36 at the top of the thigh, a double hinge on the knee and then he has a really good
15:40 articulated point in his ankle. The only thing about the ankle though even really
15:43 we didn't get much of a chance to look at really his footwear. Like in the
15:47 series he has these sort of white kind of what you call like basketball shoes
15:52 or converse shoes. He's got some really nice right outlining to it. The only
15:55 thing I would say though is be careful of the laces. The laces are that kind of
15:59 plastic that if you clip it by mistake I'm sure it would probably break. So you
16:04 want to be careful of that especially when it comes to moving the ankles back
16:06 and forth. You might be prone to kind of putting your finger against it. Just want
16:11 to be again careful of that plastic. But the ankle moves up and down very freely
16:14 back and forth this way as well. So there's really a lot of cool ways that
16:17 you can have the figure displayed. The one thing he doesn't actually have though
16:21 is a display stand but it usually comes with a territory that it comes to 3-0
16:25 releases. They don't usually put a lot of display stands. They tend to do that a
16:28 lot more with their Transformers line. Just also just before we jump all over
16:31 to final looks here I want to bring back in Pochita. Really nice-looking figure. I'm
16:35 really happy with how this one turned out but but as I was saying earlier in
16:39 this review as an extension to this I would love to see them release a
16:42 slaughtered or bloodied version of Denji as Chainsaw Man. I mean again it wouldn't
16:47 have to necessarily be the shirt if they want to put the shirt as a bloodied
16:49 release of the shirt. Yeah they could do that as well but just an unshirted
16:53 bloody version of Chainsaw Man. Maybe a little more excessive on the red when it
16:57 comes to the actual arms and certainly for the head as well. I'm really really
17:01 happy with how this one turned out. Chainsaw Man. I've always had this. I was
17:04 always a sucker really for Chainsaw characters whether it be Leatherface,
17:07 whether it be Ash from Evil Dead. Chainsaw Man though sort of takes that to the
17:10 extreme of having literally chainsaw limbs and a chainsaw head. If you never
17:14 had gotten a chance to watch any of the episodes of Chainsaw Man, do yourself a
17:18 service and watch it. It's a very bloodied series of slaughtering at the
17:21 hands of Chainsaw Man. I think they've really done a nice job here releasing
17:24 this in figure form. So if you'd like to get your chainsaw hands on Chainsaw Man
17:29 the figure is slated to release the third quarter of 2023 for a very
17:33 affordable price of $149. I like that 30 once again keeps all their collectibles
17:38 at a low enough price to be enticing to new time collectors and certainly for
17:42 $149 it's a figure that you really wouldn't want to pass on especially if
17:45 you're a big fan of the Chainsaw series. Chainsaw Man turned out to be a great
17:49 looking figure giving you two ways of really displaying him whether you want
17:52 to default him back to Denji with really two interchangeable face plates just
17:55 that alone but also as well all the component pieces needed to change
17:59 him over to Chainsaw Man. The only thing I will say though about the figure is
18:03 that his frame is very lean. He also as well has very small feet and with small
18:08 feet also goes a small footprint. So getting this guy especially on a
18:11 turntable turning around like this small little feet aren't probably the best
18:15 thing advised when you're having this guy always in motion. Either way though
18:19 I'd like to thank the folks over at 3Zero that did come through and provide
18:22 once again the sample this early sample of Chainsaw Man that we have a look at
18:25 this review. Have you ever watched the series Chainsaw Man or you were enticed
18:29 now by the idea of checking it's definitely a show on brutality and
18:33 definitely as something I said earlier in this review I would love to see 3Zero
18:37 release this guy again as a slaughtered version you can even call it a
18:40 slaughtered version maybe shirtless slightly torn pants just blood splattered
18:45 as far as the eye can see just all across his chest all across the blades
18:48 of course the front of the chainsaw head as well please make that happen if you
18:51 can 3Zero. If you guys are interested and like I said would like to get this one
18:55 third quarter of 2023 is when this guy's slated to release also as well if you
18:59 guys enjoyed this video I want to hit with like if you guys are loving the
19:02 content you guys are seeing and you certainly would like to stick around for
19:05 more I can tell you though we will be looking at some more 3Zero releases if
19:08 that's the kind of thing you like to come back to this channel for I'd like
19:11 to think first of all you're coming back to this channel for other things as well
19:13 but if specifically specifically 3Zero is your bread and butter also know as
19:19 well that popping up the very end this video will be also a playlist yes of
19:22 other things I've looked at from from the company 3Zero but also make sure you
19:26 hit that subscribe button down below and you're turning on the bell notification
19:28 so you're always in the know whenever the person behind the content behind the
19:32 camera is posting up new content as always guys thanks for watching see you
19:37 guys next time
