00:00you don't have to wait any longer for the control devil to be part of your
00:03collection here's a look at the new three zero chainsaw man fig zero one six
00:08scale Makima
00:30Fig zero one six scale Makima stands approximately 11 inches tall. She is fully articulate collectible figure with approximately 13 points of articulation and an incredible head sculpt. The primary materials for the figure are ABS PVC POM and fabric. The braid of the back of the head is made of soft PVC with metal wire inside for action poses. Makima includes two interchangeable face plates that can be exchanged between a standard expression and an ominous expression and six sets of interchangeable head sculpts.
00:58Including her ritual pose hands which perfectly replicate the iconic scene revealing Makima's grisly abilities. Life comes in a variety of flavors and just before we get a closer look at the newest flavor and offering from the folks over at three zero I'd like to thank the folks there that did provide the sample of the brand new fig zero chainsaw man Makima that we can have a look in this review. The figure is slated to ship the second quarter of 2024 for the asking price online of $149. Sad news though is that it has long since been released.
01:26Sad news though is that it has long since sold out. If you'd like to get your hands at least on Makima it's not available right now at least on three zero's site but you can check around to various online sites instead. The figure though is going to stand at about 10 and a half inches in height where Makima is 26 and a half centimeters tall.
01:44While not coming included with a display stand no Makima does though when you first get her out of the packaging come included with an instruction sheet. It's printed on two sides. The first side at least tells you the contents of the character when you first get her out of the box. The other side though shows you how to flip out her interchangeable face plates as the character comes included with two.
02:00Now Makima is a powerful being from the Chainsaw Man anime series. While it would be hard to kind of list individually all her abilities to sum things up the easiest way she basically has the power to control any individual she considers inferior. Yeah of the accessory count at least at three zero pack along with the figure while the count may be a little on the lower side I feel like she has at least the things you expect Makima to have. Of the least interesting things the figure comes included with some replaceable wrist pegs. Not that they're uninteresting but just you're not likely probably to use them.
02:28Unless you happen to break or you know lose one of the pegs that she has on the ends of her form. Three zeros again got you covered. You got some extra wrist pegs to work with. What's more interesting though is that the character comes included with her beer stein. She's known for drinking down several of these. The thing that's fun about the stein is that you can actually take the beer and you remove it all together. If you decide you don't want to use this with necessarily Makima I don't know why you wouldn't. You could probably use this with another six scale figure. I just think it's neat the fact that they actually had the beer removable. They could have easily just molded it into a beer.
02:56They could have easily just molded the stein the way that it is and have the liquid already filled inside. It's about what two-thirds of the way full. Just think it's fun. There's even a bit of a beer head there on the top there as well. And again you just simply remove that. She does have at least a corresponding hand to hold the beer. It's this hand right here. The hand is actually very similar to the one that holds the lollipop. So we're going to go ahead and just get the beer stein in between her fingers. It may involve in fact actually just prying the fingers just a little bit away from the palm. There you go.
03:22And then you get the stein in her hand. Then you can get the beer and throw that in the stein and you're good to go. While we're looking at hands of this size the figure also comes included with one unfortunate accessory that I have now dropped twice. She comes included with her lollipop. The lollipop is one of the notable traits of Makima. The thing about it though is that with it being a small accessory and being a separate accessory like this again I've already dropped this thing twice on the floor. Luckily I found it both times.
03:46She does granted have a hand for holding the lollipop which again like if you're looking at the hand it's a basically the between the thumb and the pointer finger is the best place to put the lollipop. But you really have to make sure you get it in there because the last thing you don't want to do is the last thing or the first thing I was certainly thinking about when I was taking this out of packaging I did not want to lose the lollipop.
04:06I would honestly say in a case like this I think something like this should have just been molded to her hand in the first place because the idea of losing this you literally have to take the lollipop and just take the stick of it and fit it in between her hands.
04:26I just think though like I feel like the hand should have been molded with the lollipop already attached because likely if you're going to be displaying her with this then you obviously need the hand to hold that. I think that they should have just molded the hand and the lollipop is one piece so you're less likely to lose it because it's pretty small you have to admit.
04:42The character also comes included with a couple of pointing hands. She has a pointing right hand and she has a pointing left hand. This actual hand as well is actually good for putting around her chin too. So if you wanted to for example swap the hand that she has right now, by the way these are just closed fists, just pop the hand from the provided peg, pop then the new hand in place and because she does have the poseability where it counts you just bring the hand up to her up to her face kind of have to come bring her head a little bit further forward and it can look like she's actually putting her hand around her chin.
05:10The thing about it though is that you really have to line it up just perfectly for it to look like she's actually got her hand underneath. A lot of times you kind of feel like as you can see right there it looks like the hand kind of starts to move away from the face but it's you know again if you want to have the figure pose like that that's a good way and then of course if you want to swap it out for the lollipop hand you can then display the character with that as well.
05:30The last thing that she has is also her ritual hands and again for that it involves me just removing the hands that she has right now just put those off to the side. She does come with, let me just put the figure down here for a second, she comes with two hands that make up a ritual hand but basically in the series she basically just kind of kind of rubs one on top of the other and does disastrous things to others. To do this basically again you're just going to take the hands that she has just pop one in place. The hands are also very easy to remove and very easy to reattach.
05:57Sometimes in the past I've had problems not necessarily with 3-0 but when you get pegs this small they tend to move back and forth a lot. You can see though the way they've designed these the pegs are large enough and popping the hands in place very super easy to do and again you just take the hands you just kind of line everything up.
06:14I've seen the way they've displayed these in the show depending you can look up screenshots for example of her ritual hands she does seem to have like one usually is overlapping the other sometimes I've also seen seen images where she has the top one overlapping like this one here and then like this one down here but basically you just bend the elbows if I can get them just lined up like that and then she basically can be posed like that.
06:36Of the other accessories that the figure comes also included with I guess probably you know what we'll stick with the hands that we have actually no we won't we won't I'm going to remove the hands because one of the other things I've already taken the liberty of doing is that she does come with her overcoat.
06:49Let's take the hand off right now seeing as I did kind of start by removing the hands I might as well just leave the hands off because she does also have her overcoat.
06:57The coat is long as you can see it's got a few little hairs there which is kind of wipe that off here.
07:02The thing that I like about the jacket is always the fact that like three zero tailor these very well there's no like loose threads or anything on the inside you know again it always looks just as good on the inside as it does on the outside.
07:12There are some buttons here on the side the buttons don't really actually serve a purpose they're more just aesthetically there than anything else they don't necessarily loop like there's no button loops on the other side that they're going to do the jacket up.
07:23The thing I like about the jacket is that there's actually a frame here they've put a wire built into the frame here at least the edge of the jacket so you can bend it as well if you wanted to.
07:33What I'm going to do though is I'm going to just bring the arms back here because we're going to take the coat off just slide these it's the obviously the easiest thing to do when you have the hands already removed just slide those right off we'll put the jacket off to the side you guys want to see the jacket one more time let's just put the figure here for a second.
07:48Yeah I'll show you guys what the jacket looks like you know again a lot of times when you get six scale figures some companies actually you know will leave loose threads on the inside I mean it looks just as well stitched on the inside as it does on the outside nice nice looking jacket put that off to the side.
08:03Now let's go ahead and put our hands back in place so we'll pop one hand in on one side we'll do the other hand of course on the other side what hand do we want to use I'll just use the pointing hand for at least right now.
08:12I want to make sure I've got the right hands we'll use this one use pop that in place so the other thing that she also comes included with is that Makima has two different head portraits the one that I did want to start the review with is actually the one I started things first when I took the figure out of the packaging it's kind of more of a neutral expression on her face.
08:27One of the notable traits of Makima is the fact she does have these kind of glowing orange eyes cosplayers I've seen tons of cosplayers online where they've actually done you know cosplaying of Makima and they've had to get like orange contacts so kind of more of a yellowish than they are orange nice coloring on the hair as well now speaking of the hair the back of the hair they actually advertise this as having a wire the thing I did notice though about the ponytail is that the plastic that they're using is pretty dense I don't know how much bend it is.
08:57I can really get in the ponytail and I don't feel like I really want to start bending it too much it looks like it does bend a little bit the thing that I'm really worried about though is if I'm bending this if that's gonna start to flake the paint because the paint on the hair is done really well that I don't want to jeopardize that at all by doing something that at least is advertised online that it does have a wire but I also don't see anything on here that would really indicate that a wire is built into her hair so I'm just gonna leave it as is she does though like I said have two different head sculpts she has this one that you get out of the packaging right
09:27away and then she also also has her more ominous looking face I actually like this face sculpt more than this one right here to change the heads it's just a case of popping the head off the post there we go let's put her off to the side here and show you guys what first of all the head sculpt looks like as it is right now very nice job on three zeros part if you have been avidly collecting the three zero chainsaw man figures we've looked at already a couple here on this channel you already know the kind of quality you expect to see when it comes to three zero releases but if you want to change out the face it's just
09:57a case I rhymed they're just gonna want to remove the bangs first then you're gonna go
10:01ahead and just grab the head now when you're removing the face you're basically also going
10:05to be removing the ears and the side of her hair as well and that just attaches so there's a peg here
10:09and then you can see the socket on the inside you're just gonna remove the two and then you're
10:14lining everything up again when you're gonna get take the ominous face and you can clearly see the
10:19contour that you have to follow so this is the part where her ear is gonna be this can be the
10:22side of her face and then just carefully sandwich the two together I noticed though when it comes to
10:28this you kind of have to wiggle it back and forth and actually you almost look like when you're
10:32putting it in because when you're lining everything up to the peg it actually looks like for a second
10:36that it's higher than where it should be but you have to kind of swing it down so that makes sense
10:40you have to kind of swing it down and then you just sort of push everything together so you
10:43could finish off the seam then we can go ahead and take our bangs the bangs again work the exact
10:48same way so you got a square opening a rectangular open and a rectangular peg plugs in place it does
10:54obviously leave a line mark right here there's really no way around that just because again like
10:58in order for the bangs to be able to remove that's the only way to get access to the face it results
11:03in of course leaving a line right in the top then again we're gonna go ahead and take the head put
11:07it back onto her neck the only other thing I would say is while the face is stunning I do feel though
11:14and I just dropped one of the hands I'm gonna have to go retrieve that I do feel though that the the
11:18actual neck might have been needed to be a little bit longer just a little bit longer let's just go
11:23ahead and get one of the hands back in her sockets here I just have finished mentioning that the pegs
11:28weren't giving me problems let's let's not have problems now there we go there we go I will say
11:34though like the neck fits I mean it obviously is an average sized neck but when you've got a high
11:39collar like this for her white shirt I almost feel like the neck should have been just a little bit
11:42longer just so you could see a little bit more of it she obviously is wearing here a white shirt
11:47a black tie the tie isn't simply just a case that they took like sometimes if you ever have picked
11:53up six scale figures and the companies have done ties what it tends to usually be is that you've
11:57got the knot and then you've got the main section of the tie and then you sometimes get these little
12:01plastic strips on the side this one seems actually by the way you can rotate it around that someone
12:06had taken the time to actually tie the tie around the collar if that's the case I mean that's a
12:11small thing to do I can't even tie a regular sized tie but to do it that small that's really
12:15impressive shirt looks good again you've got the buttons down the front the shirt does not look
12:19like it's one that you can open like there's no velcro or anything on there I would imagine that
12:24they probably have like a button here on the top that would open and then they probably would have
12:27had to slide it down her torso because it doesn't look like there's velcro closure keeping the shirt
12:32together again the shirt's well pressed there's not a lot of wrinkles at all they also have added
12:37as you can see there a little bit of padding there on the tops of her shoulders just to square
12:41out her frame a little bit better she's got some buttons there on the sides there of her sleeves
12:45I don't know if you guys can see it or not it's more stitched I suppose than anything else the
12:48only thing I would say though is like looking at the shirt there's like a more of an obvious seam
12:53line right here but I mean it's probably one of those cases where it's unavoidable of course she's
12:57got herself the black slacks and then just down below here as well she's got herself the brown
13:00shoes the brown shoes look quite good on the figure macklemore's got some black painted in
13:05laces of course the undersoles of her shoes as well they aren't the flattest of shoes so when it
13:09comes to getting the figure to stand you might have a little bit of balancing issues so you want
13:13to make sure like if you want to get her in like a walking pose which is something I really would
13:17like to do I might venture into the idea of displaying this figure though with a display
13:21stand she doesn't come included with one but just so that I can get like a little bit more of a
13:25stable stance for her just because I don't want the figure to fall over now for the articulation
13:29on makima going back to her head sculpt here you want to make sure of course that the tie is out
13:33of the way because she's got these you know front sections of her hair here that's going to be on
13:36a ball joint so it does rotate forward and back you can look it up that high and you can also have
13:41her look looking down as well very nice ominous look to her as for the shoulders the shoulders
13:45with ease come out at 90 degrees no problems there you can move the arms forward you can move the
13:49arms back she has a swivel at the bicep double hinge on the elbow and then the hands rotate back
13:54and forth the upper torso seems to be on some working ball joints a little harder obviously
14:01because the shirt obviously is just tucked into the pants speaking of the pants though the legs
14:04do split out that far you can take them moving forward move them back it's a swivel at the top
14:08of the thigh double hinge on the knee and then for the ankle a good range of motion so not only can
14:14move it up and down this way you can also rock her ankle back and forth as well this was one of
14:18those characters I was really looking forward to getting and now seeing her finally in hand
14:22makima delivers exactly what I would have wanted you know still I wish though that down the road
14:26you know three zero doesn't do a lot of display stands certainly when it comes to this line of
14:30figures they do it a lot though when it comes to like the transformers and like the robotic figures
14:35I do kind of wish though that down the road they could release a little more figures some more of
14:38their figures with the six scale stands just because again like the way that she stands just
14:42because of the size of her feet you just want to make sure that she balances properly especially
14:46if she's carrying around something like as small as this lollipop again the only thing I would also
14:51say to well I do really like the look of the character I do still feel though like the the
14:55lollipop and again that's the one topic of interest I feel like this should always have been molded
15:00into her hand having this being a separate piece like this it would be the most likely to be lost
15:04and I almost in fact lost it twice as they fell on the floor wrapping up now the review on the
15:10rotisserie is makima here from three zero and displayed here with the ritual hands one of the
15:14many available hand options that the character comes included with you could also opt as well
15:19to have her display with her beer stein yeah or why not you can also have her display with the
15:23lollipop the thing though about choosing either the beer stein or the lollipop is that you can
15:27only choose one being that both of them are actually going to be displayed on the character's
15:31right or on the left depending on how you're looking at this on the screen so you have to
15:35choose either to have one or the other I still though feel though for the lollipop at least
15:40the beer stein could easily have been the beer mug that is could have easily just been a separate
15:44accessory which it is but I feel like in a case like a lollipop anytime anytime a company's
15:49releasing an accessory that small with already a designated hand in mind I feel already that you
15:54should combine the both and have the hand already molded with the lollipop because I think if
15:58anything you're probably never going to display the figure with that hand specifically without it
16:02and if you ever choose to have the character carrying around the lollipop then you're already
16:06automatically going to be using that hand anyways I just think that it should have been a package
16:10deal and that one should have just been attached to the other but one thing I did also fail to
16:14mention in this review as I did talk a little bit about her her long coat being wire framed
16:19is that there's also as well a wire built into her tie so you could as well bend that if you want to
16:24get in some dynamic poses speaking of other poseable options the character also comes in
16:28clue with not one but two different interchangeable head sculpts favoring I feel the more ominous head
16:33sculpt because I think it looks a little bit better and works a little bit better for Makima
16:36but you have two to work with and as you saw in this review they're very easy to remove all in
16:40all from head to toe an ominous very powerful character from the chainsaw anime series and she
16:45looks stunning in a six scale release again this one is slated to ship the second quarter of 2024
16:51the asking price originally was about 149 30 unfortunately has sold out of it on their site
16:57but I'm sure you probably could still source around look around other online sites that
17:00sell 30 six scale figures and pre-order your Makima that way what do you guys think the figure
17:05let me know down below in the comment section is this one that you guys could see yourselves
