00:03 Okay, Vinny, back in the day, I like to have this fun conversation.
00:08 15, 20 years ago, you drafted a quarterback in the first round,
00:11 he held that clipboard, came in at the end of the year, and
00:15 then got a chance to start.
00:16 This day and age in the NFL, not so much.
00:18 So Bryce Young, they just asked this kid to just come in and
00:21 win in Carolina almost immediately.
00:24 It has gone completely the other way.
00:26 I don't know if you feel this is fair or not fair to him.
00:29 I mean, I thought Frank Reich was a really good offensive coach.
00:31 I don't know what has happened in Carolina, and
00:34 they were just burning through coaches now here over the last few years.
00:37 You give Bryce Young at least another year, right?
00:42 To see what he's got before you make the sort of rash decision.
00:45 I mean, the best weapon they got that they had on the team,
00:48 they traded to the Bears last year in DJ Moore.
00:50 I know Adam Thielen's been okay.
00:52 I mean, they're not loaded with offense there.
00:54 Is it entirely his fault?
00:55 >> No, it's not his fault.
00:58 I mean, look at the system.
00:59 I mean, they've gone to two different play callers.
01:01 Frank Reich had it, now it's back to Thomas Brown after Frank Reich took it over.
01:05 Obviously, Reich is not calling plays.
01:07 It was interesting that they cut ties with two of the former players on the staff,
01:11 Josh McCown and Deuce Staley as well.
01:14 So look, they're rebooting the whole offensive philosophy here potentially.
01:19 The problem is they don't have a lot of weaponry, right?
01:21 When Adam Thielen, an aging Adam Thielen in the slot is your best
01:25 weapon right now, that's not good.
01:27 He should be a complimentary guy, right?
01:28 You should have other guys who can make plays.
01:31 They don't really have much at tight end.
01:32 Their receivers are young.
01:33 Their offensive line, quite frankly, is underachieved.
01:35 And then they spent a lot of miles Sanders to basically do nothing coming out of
01:39 the backfield.
01:40 So they have a lot of personnel questions.
01:43 I think what could save Bryce Young is just that absolute reboot, right?
01:47 We saw in Jacksonville, they invested a lot of money, got Trevor Lawrence weapons,
01:52 gave him a coach that knew what he was doing offensively, and
01:55 then all of a sudden he was fixed.
01:56 So maybe that's the hope here with Carolina.
01:59 Same thing can happen to Trevor Lawrence.
