00:00Speaking of Bryce Young, of course, he goes to the bench, Scotty. If there's anyone in the league who knows about being the number one overall pick in the draft, and maybe not getting it done, being replaced early in their career, maybe sometimes taking two, three, or even four stops before they finally figure it out and are in a good situation, it's Baker Mayfield. He talked about the Young situation.
00:26Obviously, mine didn't happen in the same time frame with Bryce, but quarterback's hard, especially for young guys when you're not surrounded with the pieces, not given the opportunity to have success.
00:38And so, a lot of the time, guys have the talent, they might have the brains, but they don't have the right opportunity, the right fit.
00:45I mean, I'm sitting here right now in a way better fit than the other places I've been. And that's not to put other teams down, but it's a matter of the pieces around you, the coaches.
00:55And for Bryce, a guy that, you know, not gonna relate to this, finding that belief within yourself again, and he'll get it. His story's far, far from finished.
01:04You know, look, here's the reality of it, is that Baker Mayfield just got $100 million. Period.
01:13That's it. And I think when he ran out of Cleveland, I don't think you ever saw that, or anyone really saw that coming for him, with the way that things ended there.
01:24I thought he got his ass locked for them and got abused.
01:28I thought he did, too.
01:29He got physically abused and mauled there. They didn't protect him. They let him get his head taken off every Sunday.
01:36I thought he tried and played his ass off, and I thought he lit it up with the Rams, and now he lit it up with Tampa and he got the money.
01:44I don't think Young is done. I think Young looks done in Carolina, and I think he definitely needs a change of scenery.
01:53But I'll tell you one thing, right now, he totally sucks.
01:56He sucks right now, and he needs a change of scenery, but it took Baker four stops.
02:01I mean, when Baker went to Carolina, it was a disaster. The organization's a disaster.
02:05Anyone who passes through those doors right now, it's a disaster. It's just one of those places.
02:11And if you get put in the right spot, great coaching, great pieces, suddenly you look like the number one overall draft pick again.
02:19And it's probably going to happen for Bryce somewhere else, like it did for Baker, and not in Carolina.
02:24Or he might end up a career backup, and so what if you get paid?
02:35You
