00:00So, as we show you both quarterbacks in consideration in
00:06Charlotte, Bryce Young looked abysmal. There is no sugar
00:10coating that in his first two starts this season. Andy Dalton
00:14does at least provide a spark to this Panthers offense. All
00:17four games he has started. Carolina has gone over the
00:21pregame total but it's not about going over totals. Heck,
00:24it might not even really be about winning games. It's just
00:27about being competitive DRS. So, does Carolina have its best
00:31quarterback out there for that buy or sell? It's time for the
00:35Panthers to start Bryce Young once again. Bye. It's time to
00:39start Bryce Young once again. Now, hear me out how this plays
00:42out. This isn't a rookie season for Bryce Young. He was really
00:45bad last year. Had an entire offseason. New coaching staff
00:48started out. Maybe even worse than he was last year, Ben and
00:51that Saints and Chargers game. There was no doubt in my mind
00:54from a franchise perspective, you had to sit him down because
00:56you lose the locker room if you believe that the players
00:59aren't putting their best foot forward specifically early in
01:02the season. They come out with a victory with a terrible Raiders
01:05franchise but now, it's three straight losses. Your season is
01:08over. Now, it's time to get back to analyzing who can actually
01:12be on your roster moving forward and that includes your
01:15young quarterback that you drafted number one overall just
01:17a year previous. He has to play and also, there's a
01:21disconnect here between the ownership group, the general
01:23manager, and the head coach because as I talk about Mike
01:26Tomlin, it's his job to win football games. It's not his
01:30job to actually plan for the future and see what's best. A
01:33coach's only job is to win as many games as I can and be
01:36competitive on a week-to-week basis. You got that in for the
01:39win with the Raiders. Now, your season is done and from an
01:41ownership group, you must have to come to your general manager
01:44and coach and say, your job is going to be safe. I need Bryce
01:48Young in there because if I have him in there, we can
01:50evaluate him. If he stinks the rest of the way, he's not gonna
01:53be on our football team anymore. We can make decisions
01:56opposite. You're not doing the team, the city, or the
01:58franchise anything here by starting Andy Dalton. He's not
02:02your future guy. He might even win an extra game or two that
02:05could ruin your draft position for a chance to get another
02:08quarterback in the draft next year. So, just to keep it
02:10simple, evaluation mode is now underway. Let the young kid
02:14play. If he doesn't throw a single touchdown pass the rest
02:16of the way, you obviously know exactly where you're going in
02:19the future. Andy Dalton playing does a disservice to that
02:23franchise or what they need to understand they need to do in
02:26the future, Ben.
