00:00 In the context of the persistent gender disparity in sport, media and rights, the 100 experts project for sport, promoted by the Association Giornaliste Giulia, the Observatory of Pavia and the Bracco Foundation,
00:17 proposes to overturn the current trend, giving voice and visibility to female expertise. Presented at the CON, the project aims to promote the presence of professionals in the sports field through greater visibility in the media.
00:32 The sport practiced at a high level is now equally divided. Our Olympic qualifiers are more or less 50% women and 50% men. The numbers are falling a lot for the coaches and even more for the sports leaders.
00:47 Women feel that their free time must be dedicated to the family. This is the first obstacle they face in applying for a career as a coach, which we all remember, started by the companies on the territory.
01:00 I think that a great work of awareness should be done on young athletes or ex-athletes to engage in their companies as sports leaders.
01:12 In a moment of celebration for the blue sport, with attention turned to the Olympic Games and the Winter Paralympics 2026, the project takes particular importance in the light of the recent recognition of sport in the Constitution.
01:25 Sport is part of life. It is 360 degrees in life. Education, diversity, inclusion, women's inclusion. Often not everyone knows exactly what sport means.
01:40 There are times when it is very difficult. But it opens the door more, gives more opportunities to girls, because culture is changing. There are girls in every sense, in every world who come here and were born here.
01:56 So it gives them the opportunity to do something and also to add their dream.
02:01 100 Women Against Stereotypes presents itself as an online database with over 450 profiles of experts in strategic sectors, offering a fundamental resource to involve professionals of excellence in the media and communication.
02:16 Always in this light, in 2012 the Bracco Foundation launched an initiative that wants to give an important cultural message. The national and bi-annual competition "Women Sport - The Best School Athlete",
02:28 dedicated to girls aged 14 and 18 who, although practicing high-level federal sports, have excellent academic performance and will see the start of the seventh edition right at the beginning of 2024.
02:40 We at Bracco have always believed in the educational and social value of sport and we consider the competitive activity a unique opportunity for girls to mature, improve, face each other, learning every day the respect for others, loyalty and sacrifice.
03:00 A lot has changed in the last 20 years, but the road is still long if we consider that outside the Olympics only 4% of the world's media coverage is dedicated to women's sports.
