00:00 Okay, we're coming to the second two days of or the last two days I should say of what is a four day weekend for many people across the U.S.
00:07 The U.S. flight cancellation forecast exclusively from AccuWeather.
00:11 Saturday and Sunday, a hundred flights are left expected to be canceled.
00:15 But hey, if you're on one of those flights, it's a big deal.
00:17 And Chicago could be an area that has some concerns here.
00:21 Now, fortunately, Chicago not expecting too much snow, but even a little bit can cause some problems there.
00:26 Now, meantime, we're going to watch this storm materialize and even strengthen a bit for Kansas, especially as we head into Saturday.
00:33 There's going to be some pretty good snow getting put down here across areas around Wichita.
00:37 You could see a half a foot of snow into Saturday night.
00:40 There'll be some minor delays in the morning in Denver as that snowstorm winds down for you.
00:45 And then it'll be ramping up into places like Kansas City and Omaha during the day.
00:50 Meantime, Saturday across the southwest, you see the the southwestern edges of that storm system,
00:56 giving some delays perhaps to Denver in the morning, Albuquerque, a rain/snow mix.
01:01 But what you don't see on this map is how cold it's going to be in the morning in in places in the California Valley.
01:08 We've got some freeze warnings, frost advisories in place here for some of these areas of California and surrounding areas.
01:15 This is just tonight here, folks. You're going to get down close to freezing for many of these California locations.
01:21 It'll be even colder tomorrow night. Now, meantime, across our nation's midsection in the afternoon,
01:25 Omaha, snow starts to pile up a little bit.
01:28 Also Kansas City. Remember, neither one of those cities expected to get too much snow,
01:32 but even an inch or two can cause problems on the roads, especially.
01:36 Meantime, Oklahoma City, it'll be warm enough for rain for you. Could be some minor delays there.
01:40 The entire eastern third of the nation looks good for traveling tomorrow.
01:44 OK, you can expect a lot of traffic on the roads, Jeff.
01:47 It's very true. And not just the roads, but also the airports are going to be packed as millions are now returning home from their holiday destinations.
01:54 and especially Saturday and Sunday, big travel times.
