00:00 Now, let's go to the people who created the movie "Unspoken Letters"
00:03 Welcome to Rise and Shine Pilipinas, Jassie Bustran, Simone Ibarra and Director Oliver Tola. Good morning!
00:09 Good morning, Vogue!
00:10 Good morning! Alright, I'll start with Director. Tell us more about this movie. What is it about?
00:14 "Unspoken Letters" is a movie talking about a family that had to face some problems, internal problems.
00:24 One of these problems is Filippa, Jassie, who is a kid with some mental problems.
00:36 So, the story moves around this character.
00:43 There are a lot of situations that are difficult to explain because they are very deep in drama.
00:50 So, Jassie and Simone, tell us more about your characters in this movie.
00:55 My character is a special child, Filippa. She is the type of kid who wants to be happy.
01:06 She loves her father, Simone, and her siblings. She wants to be happy and be together.
01:17 What about you, Simone? What is your character?
01:22 My character is Conrado. My character is a normal father who wants his family to be happy.
01:34 But, he has some secrets that he doesn't tell his children.
01:39 That is one of the reasons why his children have some problems with my character.
01:51 So, the characters you portray are a bit heavy. How did you prepare for this character?
01:58 Aside from doing research, because my character is a special child, you have to do it well.
02:08 You can't offend anyone.
02:12 At the same time, I worked on their mannerisms and how they act in certain situations.
02:24 They briefed me and the other directors. They helped me with my do's and don'ts.
02:33 My father and my other colleagues helped me a lot.
02:45 How did I prepare for this character? I am a father now.
02:52 It was easy for me to figure out how this character will be portrayed.
02:58 But, you still have to study the character. You have to put yourself in the situation.
03:06 You have to study the script, the character, the mannerisms, and give it a background.
03:17 So, you can deliver it to the camera easily.
03:22 Let's go back to Direk Paolo. What was the most challenging part in directing and making this film?
03:28 For me, as an Italian, the most challenging is the Tagalog.
03:36 I was well supported by my co-directors, Gata Laman, who is also the writer, and Andy Andico.
03:48 It's not usual that in a movie we have three directors, but in "A Spoken Letter" this is happening.
03:58 I worked more on the technical side of the direction.
04:06 So, cinematography, lights, camera movement. Andy Andico was more focused on acting.
04:17 Gata Laman was the supervisor for the continuity of the story.
04:23 Because he is the writer, he knows the story very well.
04:29 Who are the other actors and actresses here? I think I saw Gladys Reyes.
04:33 Who are the others in the film?
04:36 Of course, Tonton Gutierrez, Miss Clydell, Ate Matet, Orlando Sol, Miss Deborah San, and then…
04:45 Daria Ramirez.
04:47 Your film is a star-studded. Please invite all our viewers.
04:51 How many people can watch this film?
04:54 We're open on December 13. We're just theatrical.
04:58 I hope you watch it. I think you'll learn a lot from this film.
05:05 Because, "Family is family at the end of the day."
05:09 Yes, that's what my father said. So, I hope you support our film, "Unspoken Letters."
05:17 It's on December 13.
