00:00 Whether you're traveling across town or across the country for Thanksgiving week,
00:04 you're probably wondering will the weather cooperate? So let's look take a look ahead
00:09 with Christina Schellhup. Right around the corner if you're packing your bags
00:16 and getting ready to leave for your Thanksgiving festivities, well we want
00:19 to take a look ahead at what you can expect. And it's a little funky as we
00:24 start this coming week and perhaps those travel plans get underway. You'll notice
00:28 the southern tier of the country, especially really looking from Louisiana
00:30 on to the west, were dry and comfortable for any travel plans. But the northern
00:34 tier of the country were kind of a, how should I put this, hodgepodge of color if
00:39 you will. You'll notice the blue where we have snow and snow showers, little
00:43 lake effect snow possible just as you're getting out towards cities like Duluth
00:46 into the UP and out toward Rhinelander, Wisconsin. If you're in Billings, if
00:50 you're in cities like let's say Lakota, North Dakota or even heading out towards
00:53 Sioux Falls, we could catch a couple of snow showers as well. And as for the East
00:57 Coast, largely a mix of a wintry mix further north and rain further to the
01:01 south. Now in terms of what that means for your travel forecast Tuesday and
01:05 Wednesday, it's a little dicey. I think the worst areas are where we could see
01:09 more in the way of steadier snowfall out toward the Great Lakes and even the
01:12 interior northwest where we are looking at more in the way of some snow as well
01:16 heading out toward and past the Rockies. Make sure you're taking it easy if
01:19 you're heading out in the roads and if you're heading out in the plane or a
01:22 plane anyway, make sure that you're checking on your flights. As for
01:26 Thanksgiving Day itself, it's kind of a continuation of the pattern if you will,
01:30 with more in the way of snow showers out across the Rockies, even across I-5, a
01:34 bit of a wintry mix and more of the same as we head to northern New England. Now
01:37 we do have that stripe of rainfall back across the central U.S. While these
01:41 showers won't be too robust, they're actually pretty good in terms of the
01:45 Mississippi River Valley. As for your travel plans, just make sure you're
01:48 staying tuned to the forecast.
