00:00 So here we are at the Signal Iduna Park. I'll give you a little pan around. You can see how incredible this stadium is.
00:10 That one behind me there, that stand behind me there, the yellow wall. And you would have seen the footage on TV.
00:18 Well, it's nice for myself, all the journalists, you cast night your fans, will be experiencing that for the first time tomorrow.
00:26 So we're at the stadium tonight. Just spoken to Eddie Howe and Fabian Scheer.
00:32 The big line to come, or the big lines to come from Eddie Howe's press conference is injuries.
00:39 Dan Byrne, it's not good news. Obviously he went off with a back injury against Arsenal at half time.
00:45 Quite a freak incident the way it happened in terms of jumping up for a header and falling on his back.
00:51 And through that impact has actually impacted his spine. So it sounds like he's going to be out for eight or nine weeks,
01:00 which is a huge blow for Newcastle because the next injury, which Eddie Howe provided an update on, Matt Target,
01:09 he's looking to be out for three months with a hamstring injury. It's going to be three months regardless.
01:16 Newcastle have decided to let Target undergo surgery, or if he needs to undergo surgery, or indeed he just needs three months to rest.
01:24 But either way, whatever the outcome of that, Newcastle will be without him for a long time.
01:29 And then Target, Byrne, both left backs, leaves Lewis Hall as the only recognised left back at the club now.
01:38 Will Lewis Hall start tomorrow? I don't think so. I think it'll likely be Tino Livermendo at right back and Kieran Tripp moved over to the left hand side.
01:48 So it's not a bad alternative, but it just sums up, well it adds to the injury situation. Newcastle's injury situation is incredibly bad.
02:00 16 first team players fit tomorrow, 12 ruled out for injuries, obviously Sandro Tonali suspended.
02:09 And you're also going to add Matt Ritchie, Emil Kraft and that mix as well. Both start against Manchester United midweek,
02:14 but aren't allegedly to play here tomorrow in the Champions League. So it's going to be a big ask for Newcastle United, but fingers crossed.
