00:00 Good evening here from Parc de Prance in Paris where Newcastle United are training ahead of tomorrow night's Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain.
00:10 It's the first time Newcastle have actually chosen to train before an away Champions League game so far this season.
00:18 They trained at home for AC Milan notoriously when they were delayed and did the same against Dortmund.
00:25 So far, it's not really worked for Eddie Howe's side in terms of having scored any goals away from home and just got that point and then lost 2-0 out at Dortmund.
00:35 So Eddie Howe said, trying to mix things up, trying to make things different and obviously given the sort of stress on the squad at the moment in terms of injuries,
00:46 it gives the players extra time to recover ahead of tomorrow night's game. So by training in the evening, on the Monday evening, just gets an extra time to recover.
00:57 Newcastle really depleted the squad going into this game. Eddie Howe we've just spoke to confirmed Sean Longstaff wouldn't be playing, hasn't travelled.
01:06 And you're looking over there, I mean you can't really tell but you've got Michael N'Douenie, Ben Parkinson, those sort of under-21s players back involved, Lewis Miley among them as well.
01:17 Very depleted squad, 14 players out in total as it stands. Hopefully no further injuries to be confirmed ahead of kick-off tomorrow night.
01:26 But yeah, Newcastle will struggle to name a bench, they won't name a full 12-man bench as we'll understand it. They're going to have to jump into the under-21s players as such.
01:39 But yeah, massive game, Newcastle really need a win. A result would potentially keep them in the competition should Brucia Dortmund manage to get a result against AC Milan.
01:53 But, if AC Milan beat Dortmund and Newcastle get a draw tomorrow night, it wouldn't be enough. Newcastle would be out of the competition.
02:00 And yeah, it's going to be a tough one. PSG, since they got beat 4-1 off Newcastle, have been in great form.
02:07 So, going to be a really tough test for Eddie Howe's side. But, what better way to prepare for than that 4-1 dismantled job of Chelsea at the weekend.
02:15 So, good preparations, depleted squad, but confidence is high.
