00:00 After a feisty encounter at St James' Park, Nigas United walk away with a 1-0 win over
00:07 Arsenal. As mentioned, it was a really hard-fought game. Both teams put in lots of effort, lots
00:12 of running, lots of tackles. The game started off with both sides really going for it, putting
00:18 in some strong challenges. That really continued all half. It wasn't the best quality game,
00:24 but Nigas did what they needed to do to get the win. I think the controversial moments
00:29 will of course be potentially a red card for Kai Havertz after a strong challenge on Sean
00:34 Long's staff. Personally, I do think it was a yellow card. I think the referee probably
00:37 just got that one right. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd given a red card and a VAR. I don't
00:42 think it would have overturned it, but I do think the referee got it right on balance.
00:45 But the following after that, obviously seeing three Nigas United players booked for their
00:50 reactions to that tackle was something I don't think I've seen before. Clearly the referee
00:54 was standing his authority on the game. Bruno Guimaraes was probably lucky to avoid a red
00:59 card as well. Admittedly, I haven't seen that back, but it seems to me he did catch Joe
01:04 Giniu, I think it was, so he was probably lucky to survive. But, you know, Nigas have
01:07 got in a half-time level, deservedly level. I don't need that, I keep adding, but too
01:11 much to do. And then they got the opener through Anthony Gordon. It was another controversial
01:15 one. First, a VAR checked if Joe Willock had kept the ball in play or not. They decided
01:19 he had. He crossed it in for Joe Linton, who looked like he pushed Gabriel. I don't think
01:25 it was, again, I think it was just good forward play and weak defending. And then that was
01:29 then a judge not to be fouled. And the ball fell to Gordon, who smashed it home from a
01:33 matter of yards. And then they checked for an offside and Gordon, who was, it was tight,
01:38 I think he was probably just behind the goal. So after a five-minute VAR check, that goal
01:41 was eventually given and Newcastle held on for the win. It wasn't their best display.
01:45 They certainly weren't as fluid as they have been in previous wins. But again, St James'
01:51 Park is becoming a real forest at the minute. And they would walk away, they certainly did
01:57 not deserve that win. And it's a massive result against Arsenal, with all these big games
02:02 coming up, Dortmund coming up midweek, obviously, a mania result. Just wins like this just keep
02:06 Newcastle ticking over and keep their wins coming. And yeah, it was a brilliant battling
02:12 performance for Newcastle. Again, not at the fluid best, but you know what, you don't need
02:15 a beat to get the win. And that's exactly what they did. So they'll head to Germany
02:20 on Tuesday, full of confidence, but also knowing that's another massive match, that could be
02:26 make or break in the Champions League for them. So it's going to be a big game in Germany
02:30 on Tuesday. And then of course, they play Bournemouth on Saturday. There will be that
02:33 Bruno Guimaraes, who picked up a yellow card right at the end. So he will be suspended,
02:37 I think, with five yellow cards. But yeah, another positive result. A great week for
02:41 Newcastle with a 3-0 win against Man U and obviously 1-0 win here ahead of another busy
02:47 two more games and then they'll have a national break and hopefully get some of their players
02:50 back. But yeah, as I say, a brilliant afternoon for Newcastle. Not the best performance, but
02:53 they got the job done and a win against Arsenal doesn't come around too often. So you've got
02:56 to celebrate that. So Newcastle United 1 Arsenal 0.
