00:00 Hello and welcome to our latest guide to 5 things to do and this week we're breaking
00:09 with tradition and doing a bonfire and fireworks special to highlight the biggest and best
00:13 places in Lancashire. You can go and watch an organised display. So, instead of 5 things
00:18 to do it's more like 15 but please be warned that this has been filmed well in advance
00:22 without a clue what the weather's going to do so please if you fancy going along to one
00:26 of these events please double check with the organiser nearer the time to see if everything's
00:29 still going ahead. So, let's rattle through these. First, the Blackpool Cricket Club at
00:34 Stanley Park with their display. It's on Sunday 5th November. Gates open at 5pm, bonfire is
00:39 at 7.30pm and fireworks at around about 8.15pm. Single tickets are a fiver, family tickets
00:45 that's two adults and two children are £15. At the Pleasure Beach on the 4th November
00:51 all the rides will be open late into the evening and then a spectacular fireworks display fills
00:54 the skies and over the roller coasters, rides and attractions of the park. Tickets for that
00:59 are £32 each. And lastly for Blackpool, the Rotary Club are holding their annual Poulton
01:05 bonfire and firework display at Cotton Hall on Sunday 5th. The bonfire is lit at 7 and
01:10 the fireworks display is 7.30pm. Adults are £4, the children are £3 and the family ticket
01:15 is £12. Central Lancashire now and you can go to Olmsgate Cricket Club on the Saturday
01:20 4th. Advanced tickets guarantee entry from £5 for children and there's £20 for a family
01:25 ticket there. Leyland's Wordon Park is always a big one and this year it's on Saturday
01:30 4th. Tickets are £3 for adults in advance and £5 on the night. And in Chorley you'll
01:36 find a big old display at Ashley Park on Sunday 5th. Bonfire at 7, fireworks at around about
01:41 7.30pm and best of all it's free. And while we're in Chorley, where safer to have a fire
01:47 than Lancashire Fire and Rescue Headquarters in Exton where they're having a charity bonfire
01:51 and quiet fireworks on Friday 3rd November, early bird tickets are £6.99 for adults,
01:57 £4.99 for children and £19.45 for a family ticket of 4 people. To Preston next and the
02:03 Grasshoppers Rugby Club on Lightfoot Lane. Their display is on Sunday 5th and single
02:09 tickets are £8.80 and a family ticket is £26.40. In Garstang you'll find the Lions
02:16 are having a do in the High Street Car Park on Saturday 4th, 7pm bonfire, 7.30 fireworks
02:22 and tickets are at 5 for adults and £2 for children. In the north there's a display at
02:27 Bolton-le-Sands Community Centre playing fields. It's on from 6pm on the 4th of November and
02:33 that's £7 per person. Lancaster Castle aren't doing fireworks this year but it's worth mentioning
02:38 their amazing Light Up Lancaster Arts event which has been extended from the 4th to the
02:42 2nd of November. In Wigan there's two major events, one at Wigan Warriors at Robin Park
02:48 Arena on Saturday 4th November, tickets are limited and priced at £10 for adults and
02:52 £5 for children. The other is at Haywoodland Park on Sunday 5th, that one starts at 5pm.
02:58 There's all sorts of musical entertainment before the fireworks at 8.30 and tickets cost
03:03 £11.50 plus booking fee for adults, £9 plus booking fee for children aged 4-15 years.
03:11 In Burnley the big one is Townley Park and they're getting in early on Friday 3rd November
03:15 with two, yes two displays on the same night. A single entry ticket is just £3.75 and a
03:22 four ticket deal is only £13. Clitheroe Castle bonfire and fireworks display promises great
03:27 value entertainment for all on Saturday 4th November with food and drink on the Castle
03:32 field from 5pm alongside on-field entertainment and activities. Adults are a fiver, kids are
03:38 two and as usual there are group deals to be had too. Phew, there you are, I think that
03:43 just about covers it. You could of course just stay at home with your pet and try to
03:46 ignore it all, but whatever you get up to, have a safe bonfire night and I'll see you
03:50 next time with five less noisy things to do. See you then.
