00:00 Reuben Bain's stock is absolutely soaring.
00:03 The offensive coordinator at Virginia is Des Kitchens.
00:09 And I don't think Des Kitchens
00:10 is getting a whole lot of sleep this week
00:13 as he prepares his team to face Quattro Quattro,
00:16 as we now call him.
00:17 Reuben Bain, we talked about the two sacks,
00:21 the forced fumble, the two quarterback hits,
00:24 the tackles for a loss.
00:26 Here's another thing that Reuben did
00:27 last week against Clemson.
00:29 10 quarterback pressures.
00:32 That was the most of any defensive player
00:34 in the nation in week eight.
00:37 Reuben Bain was terrorizing the backfield
00:39 more than anyone else.
00:40 Stock is absolutely soaring.
00:42 Leonard Taylor's stock is most definitely up this week.
00:46 LT just had a season high 56 snaps
00:49 in the game against Clemson.
00:51 And the formation tweak that Miami used in that game,
00:55 and they may continue to go this way with a 3-3
00:58 because they've been so banged up on the defensive line
01:01 that this just suits the personnel better.
01:03 But it also suited Leonard Taylor better
01:05 'cause he got to line up at nose, blowing up the center.
01:09 He was in his bag.
01:10 He told us he thrived in that role.
01:12 Lance Guidry said he did as well.
01:14 So if we see more of that moving forward,
01:17 I have a feeling Leonard Taylor
01:19 is gonna continue to trend up.
01:21 Emery Williams.
01:23 He definitely improved his long-term stock.
01:26 There's no question about that.
01:28 True freshman quarterback.
01:29 He showed he can spread the football out.
01:31 He can make big throws, accurate throws,
01:34 and he can take care of the football.
01:36 And the moment was not too big for him, right?
01:39 I mean, he's down 10 points in the fourth quarter
01:42 and he engineers two big time drives to tie up the game.
01:45 And he was sounding over time as well.
01:47 So long-term, no question, Emery has improved his stock.
01:51 In the short term, it does sound like Tyler Van Dyke
01:53 is gonna return this week,
01:55 but it's good to know that Emery Williams
01:58 is ready to play when needed.
02:00 Whether that's this week or any other time this year,
02:02 that he is capable of stepping up.
02:04 Now the team obviously stepped up around him
02:06 'cause that was a team victory against Clemson.
02:09 That wasn't all on Emery, but he was a big part of that.
02:12 And it's good to know he can do that job when called upon.
02:15 You know who else raised their stock?
02:17 Francis Maui Noa.
02:20 That was his best game of the season at right tackle.
02:23 You wanna know how many pressures
02:24 CC allowed in the game?
02:26 0.0, big goose egg.
02:30 The entire O-line was awesome.
02:32 They gave up zero sacks and four combined pressures.
02:35 None of those were given up by CC
02:38 and he was also really good run blocking as well.
02:40 So, I mean, we've known this,
02:42 but the future is really, really, really bright
02:45 for that true freshman.
02:47 Rashard Smith, stock is up.
02:50 I think we found our secret weapon.
02:52 This guy can line up anywhere and make an impact.
02:55 In high school, he played running back
02:57 and wildcat quarterback.
02:58 He's primarily a receiver at Miami,
03:00 but he can do all of those things.
03:02 I mean, he was lined up as a running back
03:03 when he made the big play.
03:05 He's also really dangerous as a return man.
03:07 And when you think about explosive plays,
03:10 Miami needed to make more of those in general,
03:12 but Clemson's defense, they just don't give those up.
03:17 80 yards, that was the longest play
03:19 they've given up all year.
03:21 Probably the longest they will give up all year.
03:23 And it was Rashard Smith that did that to them.
03:25 So that was huge.
03:27 Going back to the defense, Corey Flagg, my goodness.
03:31 He significantly raised his stock on Saturday.
03:34 His stock has been rising all year though.
03:36 He's been showing great range, quickness, instincts.
03:39 He's been tackling really well.
03:41 Corey Flagg is top seven on the team in tackles,
03:45 even though he's not a regular starter
03:47 and the tackle for loss he made to secure the game
03:50 in second overtime, double overtime.
03:52 That was awesome.
03:53 And I was so happy he got that.
03:56 Staying with the linebackers, Kiko Maui-Noah.
04:00 He's raised his stock in every game so far.
04:02 Last week was not an exception.
04:04 I mean, what an awesome addition in the transfer portal.
04:08 Miami's starting middle linebacker.
04:09 He leads the Canes in tackles.
04:11 He also has two sacks and interception,
04:14 two forced fumbles on the year.
04:16 And I got to say this again,
04:18 just in case the ACC officials are watching this.
04:21 I don't think they have the power to find me.
04:23 I don't think they do, but guys, he had a safety.
04:26 You robbed the man of his safety last week.
04:29 He should have that on his resume as well.
04:32 A.J. Allen and Colby Young, they both raised their stock.
04:35 I mean, you talk about clutch.
04:37 The game tying drive in the fourth quarter,
04:39 that was the Colby Young drive.
04:41 And then A.J. Allen gets the touchdown
04:43 and the two point conversion in second overtime.
04:46 So Allen and Young, awesome job.
