00:00 So Declan, a fitting point to start I think is yesterday's match between Hearts and Celtic.
00:11 Celtic running out 4-1 winners at Tyne Castle. Of course Celtic have only had just under
00:19 600 spectators in their way in at Tyne Castle. That's a first going through there. Firstly,
00:26 what was your take on the overall performance? It seemed to me from watching it a pretty
00:30 clinical performance. Yes, very dominant, loose. Always a tough place to go for either
00:36 Celtic or Rangers to make the swim through to Tyne Castle, never mind with less than
00:40 600 fans in the Roseburn stand. I think probably heading into the game a lot of folk thought
00:47 it would be tight. Where it can be light, especially if Hearts are up for it and get
00:51 the crowd behind them, it can be quite an intimidating place to go. But from very early
00:57 on you could see that Celtic were really sharp, they were in the mood. I think I'd said just
01:02 as the international break started, this could be a really good time for Celtic just to go
01:06 back onto that training ground with Brendan Rodgers and look at those things they could
01:11 possibly tweak after that second part of the season if you will. It looks as if they've
01:16 did that. Really interesting to hear the likes of Callum McGregor and Matt O'Reilly after
01:20 the game speaking to the media about the fact that it probably could have been more. It's
01:26 no disrespect to Hearts. I know Stephen Naismith believed that the four goals were avoidable,
01:34 I don't think I would agree with that myself. There was a lot of quality in Celtic's goals
01:38 and on a different day it could have been six or seven, even Michael Stewart said that
01:43 last night. So a very comfortable display from Celtic. They look as if they're really
01:47 getting in the mood under Brendan Rodgers now. But of course as we'll get onto Wednesday
01:52 night it's going to be a totally different challenge for them.
01:56 That was Celtic's tenth successive win over Hearts in all competitions, first time they've
02:02 done that in over a decade. I must say I was a wee bit disappointed by Hearts yesterday
02:08 Declan given Tyne Castle is obviously a notoriously challenging place to go to for any team in
02:14 the Scottish Premiership. But their look to me, especially when Keogh O Furihasi scored
02:20 the third goal, that there was a lack of belief that they could really get back into that
02:24 game. Did you feel that?
02:26 Yeah, I mean after the second goal winning a good few punters did leave the stadium which
02:31 was quite surprising. As you know it only takes one goal and you're back into the game
02:35 so quite surprising to see that. I don't know if that's just a feeling around Tyne Castle
02:41 at this point in time, they'll obviously still have at the back of their minds that they
02:45 let a two goal lead slip in the Derby game only last week. So it doesn't look too bright
02:50 at this point in time. Again when Celtic are in town you can't switch off. The quality
02:56 of the first goal is exceptional, the ball from Palma is excellent, the finish is sublime
03:00 but again the Hearts players, they don't run. The runner doesn't go off or relay, just lets
03:05 them wonder and with the form he's in you just don't do that. Then even the second half
03:10 there's a bit of debate around the penalty and what not. Cochran's knee certainly goes
03:14 into the back of Thiago's leg. But again, as you're talking about Lewis, a Hearts team
03:21 just, in a game like that you just don't make those type of errors and you look to try and
03:27 get something. And even when Shanklin scored, yes they put Celtic under a wee bit of pressure
03:32 but you didn't really get the feeling that Hearts and themselves believed that they could
03:37 pull themselves back out of the game. Probably after that second goal hit the net, there
03:41 were swathes of Celtic players heading forward any time they went on the counter. And just
03:46 a really probably poor performance from Hearts reflected by a really exceptional performance
03:50 by Celtic.
