00:00 Good morning everybody, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Monday, October
00:04 the 23rd. I hope you've all dried out after a rather wet and windy few days, looking a
00:09 bit nicer today, but I understand there is some more rain coming so keep your house safe
00:15 and yourself. So I'm just bringing you some headlines this morning. I'm just about to
00:20 put online a story about a man who was found in the street dropping in and out of consciousness
00:27 through drink. He was about to be taken to hospital when the paramedics found a loaded
00:32 gun in his sock. So he's actually now been jailed. It appears he had a number of firearms
00:39 in his possession. He's got five years but you can read all about that story. That'll
00:44 be going live in the next about 10 minutes or so. Then yesterday I put out a story, there
00:51 was a lot of fire appliances at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. We understand there were
00:56 six at the scene. There was an alarm late yesterday afternoon. The hospital itself said
01:04 it was, they had to move some patients as a precautionary measure, but it transpires
01:09 that it was just an alarm and everyone was safe. So you can read about that also this
01:16 morning. Then finally we've got some more information regarding Storm Bebette. My colleague
01:23 Darren's put a piece together about the flooding warnings that are still in place. Obviously
01:29 we had a large deluge of rain Thursday, Friday, Saturday and that's affected an awful lot
01:36 of areas. The rail and also quite a number of roads are still blocked off with water.
01:43 So you can read all about that and places to avoid until the rain, the rainwater has
01:49 got away on the website today. So for those three stories and for anything else that's
01:54 happening in the city, visit www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk and of course keep up to date on X and Facebook.
02:03 Have a good Monday.
