00:00 Good morning and welcome to the Doncaster Free Press this Monday, December the 18th.
00:04 He's going to be here soon, not long now, just a week to go. First of all we've got some good
00:11 news to bring you, some funding for the City of Doncaster Council have been awarded £100,000
00:17 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund which will go towards the King's Own Yorkshire Light
00:24 Inferior Collection at the Durnham Gallery, so that's really, really welcome news. It's a fantastic
00:29 collection, if you've not seen it you need to go along, it's plenty of memorabilia from the wartime
00:37 years, so certainly worth taking a look at that and hopefully the £100,000 will be put to good
00:44 use to bring some more interesting paraphernalia to the venue. Then some not so good news, we have
00:50 a man who has been jailed after he fired a gun at a man's face in a residential street in Doncaster.
00:59 He's been put behind bars and so he should. Then we've got quite a shocking one actually,
01:04 right in the city centre Doncaster Police have unearthed a cannabis factory, an £800,000
01:11 cannabis factory. You'll never believe where it is, it's right down Silver Street, an abandoned
01:18 pub/club, it's been a number of venues over the years, so that's a major, major find,
01:27 right under our noses, who knew it. So for those stories and for anything else that's happening in
01:32 Doncaster today, just visit the website which is www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk and I hope you have a
01:40 great Monday.
